Adrian, is it true that a speaker’s impedance can go lower than what the manual states, while playing? If that’s true, wouldn’t there be a disadvantage to plugging in to the speakers to a particular/specific binding post? Thank you

get a smaller one. I have the 8950 and it is a perfect size for my space. I also have the very small MHA150 for my office desktop and love it.

In 2008 I picked up a then top of the line MA6900 store demo for 3k usd, it was 4k new. Definitely more technology, features, power and expected cost with this amp. But triple the cost is well beyond the additional tech, features and inflation. I love McIntosh but way overpriced imo.

As an MA9000 owner I'd interested in the review video to hear whether there is any significant differences between the new and older model and also how the DAC performs. Reviews have suggested the DAC1 and DAC2 differ little in performance other than the newer DAC having an HDMI socket. Hope you are able to address these comparisons. Cheers.

McIntosh launched the C55 and C2800 preamps last march, both compatible with the new Mac app. Seems reasonable to expect the integated amp line to be soon upgraded to new models with the same capability. What do you think about this?

Hello. I used to own a Mcintosh integrated (MA6900) a few years back (I now have separates) and out of curiosity, replaced the original jumper between the pre and power section at the back with various RCA cables, and noticed significant differences in the sound. If you have time, and a few cables laying around, give it a try.
