I sell luxury watches and have seen many replicas and they’re getting really good. Even inexpensive ones. I have seen $100 version of a $10,000 watch that is very difficult to detect, even side by side. I have seen $500-600 replica watches that are almost impossible to tell. Even after opening it. We had to send it to Rolex for them to authenticate it and confirm it wasn’t real. And what I’ve noticed with these watches is you can hand them to someone and say “this is real” and they’d never know and even talk about how good the quality is. You hand it to someone and say “this is a replica” and they start looking at every little thing and saying “I could tell right away”. I was curious so I took a real authentic Rolex Submariner to 3 different ‘watch aficionados’ and told them ‘this is a replica’ and they all said they could tell right away. China is getting really good at making counterfeit products. I don’t know sneakers at all, but I’m thinking most of these ‘flaws’ you’re finding are in your head and you’re finding because you know they’re a rep.
