Are you at the Kick Off in Helmond next week? Looking forward racing you again! Best, Christopher (we met in Hürtgenwald last year)

Hello Christopher, i will be at the kick off race. Great to hear you are coming aswell !! Really enjoyed our Saturday practice in Hürtgenwald. Been trying to learn some more German, because i don't want the misunderstanding i had there again. I'm planning to do more nrw races upcoming season. Really like the atmosphere there. See you in Helmond 👍

Got a question. Conversion from 23 to 24. Center dift and clutchbell, chasis, rear dogbone and shock tower? Thats all? I mean to upgrade my new 23. Bought on september last year
@kings-racing8 ай бұрын
@@NitroMax083if you have build your 23 according to the manual and already installed the updated bulkheads ( which were free for everyone who bought the 23) , the only difference is the shorter chassis, alu rear shocktower, shorter rear center driveshaft and emulsion shockcaps. That's it.

Thanks brother. Really liking the xray. Always brings me to the finish line 💯 Thought about switching brands, but got scared lol

@@kings-racingI was going to ask, have you tried other brands? What led you to XRay? - I’m always curious how folks pick their brand/buggy each season. Everyone has their own preferences
@kings-racing8 ай бұрын
@@a2rc i ran tlr for a while when i switched to xray. Also ran a mugen and tlr truggy. From my experience and what i see at the races i think xray is the most durable platform out there. It's quality. Thought about switching to sworkz but i'm scared to do so. Plus i have loads of xray parts. It's expensive to switch aswell. At least need two new cars for racing so you have all spare parts. So i just stick with what i got and know it's good. Just scared to switch.
@a2rc8 ай бұрын
@@kings-racing That is some good points and very understandable. Having a second car/buggy helps for sure (or at least enough parts or sub assemblies to rebuild quickly) - The hobby can be pricy, as we all know. Maybe in time, you can pick up an older model of the platform you want to try. That way it will be a lesser investment. Or maybe a buddy has the same buggy you want and he/she would let you at least try it out for a bit? - Thanks for taking the time to write Kings and Thanks NitroFreak for letting me bomb your comment 😋 Keep up the great work to both of you
@kings-racing8 ай бұрын
@@a2rc You definitely have to have al spare parts. Would be a shame when the raceweekend comes to a early end because you can't fix the car. It's also easy to go from dry to wet setup without a lot of wrenching. You can just switch front or rear clips out on a raceday. I've had it happen were i needed to change the setup three times on one day.

How do you like it ? Any setup tips for a beginner
@kings-racing3 ай бұрын
I like it very much. Definitely a great platform. For a beginner i recommend to make the car easyer to drive. Use 3mm washers/spacers on the steering link underneath the ackerman so it's less nervous on steering.
@No1karez8 ай бұрын
So hard to improve on platforms that are already pretty much as good as it gets, will be interesting to see what you notice to be different and or improved. Congratulations on the new kit, nothing like building and setting up a new kit 👍

Sorry I’m a day late to watch the vid but, That’s definitely a great point about your Carbon rear tower (on what happened to it). As you know, it defiantly Depending on the car/buggy and how you run it. Using metal, carbon and plastic in certain places is important. Some areas you want to keep the weight down but, in other places, you want a part for durability. Just depends on what your needs are - I’m excited for you to have a new platform and I’m interested to know your first thoughts on it, after it all put together (and after your first run) I’m wondering about the front carbon arm “wings”. Do they make them with different angles or just one type? Thanks for the fun vid Kings 🩷
@kings-racing8 ай бұрын
I'm always late. To many vids to keep up with and to little time. Always have vids on the list to watch. Carbon rear shocktower came on the 22 and 23 model. I saw some breakage already on the 22 model during racedays. So i had a alu in stock already. Carbon shocktower isn't durable enough. It gonna break at some point. So glad the 24 came with a alu one. Really curious how she runs with the shorter chassis. The build was easy since i know the platform very well. Didn't even use the manual. The carbon front upper arm wings come in one angle. You can only choose between lexan and carbon wings. I did fabricate plastic ones from old sidegaurds and tried them on the 23 model, but didn't feel any difference with both angles and heights. You do notice if you run with or without the wings. It sure provides some downforce on the front end. Thanks for watching buddy 👊

Nice unboxing 👍 Interesting to see how that shorter chassis work. Could be more aggressive in turns and better for technical tracks, but we will see 👍
