I love the 4s I have 5 pairs and wear them for everything. I’ve tried the 5s and found the heel cup to low. Haven’t managed to try the 6 yet. How is the heel compared to the4&5? If it’s the same as the 5 it’s topo next. Really wish I could get more 4s

Hi Matt, i have just got back from a 40 mile hike wearing them. If im honest, the extra heel padding actually caused me some blistering which for me is very rare. The grip remains great, the shoe fits well but the heel padding for me is no no. I too think the 4s were the best of the bunch. I still have one (worn out) pair that are just great.

Yeas, principally the heel. There are pads added for some odd reason. They do not help the heel stability and cause a fair bit of rubbing. In my opinion, this is a backward step from Altra and they would be better ditching these as soon as practically possible.

They have made the laces thicker and longer i had to swap mine out in the 5s
