The DLC coating is more than just aesthetic. The coating should make the weapon function a little better when it's more dry/dirty because the surface has a different coefficient of friction than the stainless steel barrel.

According to Staccato they claim the grip angle is still the same as all the other Staccatos.

Looks great! Looks like you were able to mount the optic without the HOST spacer. It'll get rid of that gap in front of the optic and provide recoil bosses so the optic doesn't work loose under recoil

The Staccato NDA expired on January 6. Therefore, I can share that I've shot the HD P4, and the trigger is all Staccato. For those with some trigger time with the Staccato C (2024) and the C2/P, etc., the grip is slightly more grippy and a tiny bit larger than the C (V3) grip, but not as large as the C2/P (V2) grip. It's the perfect blend of 2011 (1911) trigger and grip angle, with Glock mag compatibility. It recoils less because it sits lower in your grip. The less you wrench down on the grip, the less felt recoil.

Staccato says they don’t recommend mounting an optic without the spacer. Something about the series 80 part that is exposed. Let us know if you have any issues running it without the spacer.

How’s the accuracy as 25 yards ? I’ve heard disappointing reports of 3 inch groups from rest. Which makes it worse than some of its brethren.

The me thing nobody focus’s on is the distance between the grip and trigger. Is it significantly shorter? Is the grip significant thinner? I got small hands and I had to do some mods to my p and cs to get it to ideally fit my hands. But with this model being so new and proprietary components most likely I will not be able to upgrade a shorter trigger and safeties

I also have small hands (medium gloves usually fit perfectly). Feels the same as my C with a compact grip which I really like. I expected it to be brickish because of the Glock mag, but I can't really feel a difference. If the pull length on the CS didn't work for you, this won't without mods.

Hey you are missing the optic plate. It still uses a plate for the RMR HD bit the plate does not require additional screws it’s sandwiched between the slide and optic

Yes it should be able to i made a mistake with the rmr hd it needs a spacer from their website. The rcr might need it to look on their site but they supposedly said it doesnt need one

@ by direct mount they mean the screws attached directly to the plate; but you still need a mounting kit below the optic. I know bro, they got us good 😂. It makes it more reliable but we still have to pay for a mounting kit ($75).
