Interesting Morry! I’ve been finding that as I bought stuff home to comp. Things I thought were cheap or rubbish are really surprising me with pricing. Because of that it’s made me realise I don’t think I can rule anything out in this haul. I’m going to make good money from it. I’ve comped a couple of boxes of books and they are also very high!

He may have been a hoarder, but he wasn't stupid. Makes me think he intended to resell or had a shop at one time. Hoarders don't usually use good boxes and label them like that. I think you are in for a surprise...this could be any of us who collect to resell. And many people like classical music. Everything I see so far means money in your pocket.

Hi Mel! Really interesting video. Quite an eclectic collection. Seems no real theme that's obvious on a first look. Still think there is good stuff there. The marbles could be worth a lot. No doubt some of the games and toys will have value. Some of the glass/ceramic bits may have value too. You'll need to research to get maximum return. I have a feeling you will make far more than you paid once the stuff sells. Great haul! Looking forward to the next video. 😃

one of the issues with these hauls is if you find one piece of something valuable you have to wait until you get through the whole thing to know if there are companion pieces and those one piece gotta match items grow into a whole bunch of stuff. Im just not very good at organizing but I think that is one of your strong points. Its just a pain in the ass to find the other matching piece. Careful with the horror dvd's some can bring good money. Music CD.s: best rule of thumb is movie soundtracks, rock and rap. If it is an early album or a band that had someone before they were famous can be very big money. drawer, cabinet, door hardware can bring good money. seems like you have a good handle on the other stuff.

Also, you said my year of birth and then said vintage right after it 🤣🤣🤣 I’ll have to let my husband know he has a vintage commodity. 🤣🤣🤣

I know this is over a year old and long gone but that's beside the point which is the same. and that is this, I would have been willing pay 5 x's what you did for that awesome inventory. I see nothing but $$$ signs there.

Yes, I have bought back some stuff and been working on it box by box and I’ve been so surprised with how much things are pricing at! I realised quite early into price comping I would need to thoroughly check everything before ruling it out. His books are pricing high also, some very rare and interesting books! I’m going to learn heaps from this collection and make a lot of money!

15:45 Is it a letter opener or is it something to "kill, kill, kill" ... :) Great pickup but now the question - when you list these non-book items, how & where are you going to store it all especially the valuable items which might be slower movers??

Yes I knew some of the old ones can sell well. Especially the bigger ones which there is quite a few. They bring back fond memories of me playing marbles at primary school :) some of them had Pokémon pictures on them which seem to be selling for ok pricing also. I have set them aside to do some more research.
