Let’s not discount the fact that Sideshow putting foam corners between the shipper and the artbox is something that’s been long overdue. Too many artboxes ruined during shipping to count. This was a much needed change.

Well Sideshow really did an incredible job on the sculpt of this Red Sonja. The action pose along with the amazing portrait and sick base, makes for a phenomenal concept piece. Your right the hair should have been a bit more reddish. It is the reason why they call her Red Sonja not bloody Sonja. The wave of souls as part of the base makes me feel like it would have made a great concept for a Magik character statue. Congrats on getting the Red Sonja.

I think this is a beautifully designed piece. The action is on point and the detail in the base......fire! Really like the blood forming a hand and grabbing her ankle. ✌

The base is incredible, looks so good, look at the faces, and the face right at her foot and then the hand of blood grabbing her leg, wow, looks amazing. And again no underbase to spoil the look of the statue, I think this is even nicer than the Prime1.

I really liked this piece as well. My biggest issue with it is the lack of gloss on her teeth and I felt that her eyes were just ok. Great review as usual gem.

The hair looks like a dark red,/burnette, which I'm okay with. The statue is Beautifully Brutal and dynamic, for sure. I would display this with a nice framed print behind it. Looks great.

I think that the reason the hair has a more brown tint to it is because the blood is sort of the focal point of the piece and to help make it pop they toned Red Sonja hair color down as a more dirty brown red hair. Overall I really dig this statue it looks insane.

What up Gem, i agree the hair could’ve been more on the fire side. It was probably going to compete with how sick the bloody base is. Those colors look insane. Blood looks like blown glass. She’s a baddie for sure. Thank you for doing these.

Very cool statue... I've been collecting the current RS comics from Dynamite because one of my favorite artists has been doing the covers, Joseph Michael Linsner. Would love for him to design something that isn't Dawn related. But then I'd have to find the funds to purchase it, lol. I used to collect statues in the 90's. Probably have about 30 or more. But now that I have a family its hard to display anything. And today's prices on some of these are scary high for me. Still a beautiful sculpture... cool vid... thanks man. ;)

I wanted to get this. I have the first 3, but passed on this one. I had a bad experience with Sideshow's dynamic poses, they all got leaning after a year. Even if it has a steel rod, what happened to my statues is the base itself gets deformed probably due to exposure to summer heat or UV that sips inside the room. My SS Reborn Superman, its peg hole gave way to the weight of the statue, I only noticed it after I pulled it out for cleaning. It's only being held upright by the shape of the peg insert. I would have totally bought this statue if they added additional support like making her left knee maybe like jumping from a tower or kneeing an enemy's face. So far I got Superman, Wolverine, Thor all leaning, and they are the newer statues.
