Very informative unboxing. I did mine and I two got a little box to make. That one did have us write out a little sentiment on it. I got three mats and three blades etc. with mine. the Brother scan n cut has now come a long way. I really like the SDX models. Nice and quiet. I too like the storage area. It can hold lots of small Scan n cut items. Thanks again see you next time.

A long time ago I put together an image showing the changes and differences between some ScanNCut machines for folks looking to buy an older model. I would love a review of these machines that test whether any upgrades\downgrades of various machine means anything in real world use situations.

I went with the older sdx225 for $300 used. the $700 for the SDX325 wasn't worth the embroidering machine communication feature since I don't do embroidery. you should post your photo.

Greensburg pa here! I tried cutting fabric and decided my blade must be dull. Epic fail! It’s old cm550.

Hi Robin. Cutting fabric is so fun on the ScanNCut so give it another go. Try doing some test cuts while decreasing the pressure but increasing the blade. This will prevent the dragging of the blade to help with the cut. - Courtney

Hi Robin. Their isn't a fabric mat for the CM500. You would need to use a standard mat with a added high tack support sheet on it. - Courtney
