Unboxing the Spyderco Ikuchi and looking at ALL the recent Spyderco flippers

I really like the Ikuchi and Sliverax, I don't like the wire clip on the Ikuchi and I don't like the scales on either one but that can at least be fixed. The carbon fiber over G10 is on EVERY Taichung almost and it really starts to bother me on the Canis and the Amalgam. The Smock is the only one where it feels like it fits the knife and doesn't bother me for some reason. The Ikuchi would be better with Kapara like carbon fiber and the Canis would have been much better with plain G10 like the Yojimbo 2 and a matching detent. The now discontinued Sliverax is a sleeper because most people don't use a pinch grip which is where it shines with that tab and downward angled blade, I actually like it better than the Spydie Chef which i like but thought that I would like it more than I actually do in hand.

My Domino is also a Flipper, the Dice to. Would like the Amalgam but it seems like the detent is pretty weak. anyway thanks for sharing. Greetings from Europe

I agree if they want it to look like carbon fiber then just use real carbon fiber.
