I've been wearing my Powder River for about 2 years now on hunting trips and exploring the back country. I love the fit and feel of the hat and it has held up really well. Nice hat! I really like the color and shape of this one and the texture of the buffalo wool is interesting. I’m thinking of picking one of these up. On the semantics side they’ve been called buffalo in america since English speakers first started writing about them. Who cares what some scientist wants to say? So‘ funny story about this hat. I ordered a different model from Stetson and they sent me the Powder River by mistake . I loved it and I kept it. Its my everyday Cowboy hat now. For the price its hard to beat. They gave me a deal on the one I originally ordered so it worked out in the end. Glad to see you back!

Welcome back! I would love to see videos about your collections. No need to buy new hats or boots. Show us your bourbon collection, action figures, etc. Give us an overall tour of the man cave and then break it down into detail on the collections. I think you can put out a lot of new content on your existing stuff.

Many thanks for the suggestion and for watching. Unfortunately, the hat and boot videos are the only ones that generate large numbers of views. The few bourbon-related videos I've posted have gone over like the proverbial poop in the punch bowl. I do have some ideas for some upcoming videos to shoot outside my man cave, so we'll see how those perform.

Hahaha! I recently discovered your channel and subscribed. The intro video clip of the delivery man was hilarious. I hope the poor guy didn't hurt himself. 😂 Viewer from CA here. I'm married and don't plan to have more kids so I guess it doesn't matter if my balls shrink from wearing a Stetson. Haha. I have yet to own a Stetson, however. I'm leaning towards a Stetson fedora though, because the hard western hats don't seem to fit my round-shaped head as the western hats come long oval...Nonetheless, I still like watching your videos of western hats.

I can’t even buy Stetson hats like that in the EU, only European models and that sucks, importing it from the US is almost impossible because most hat stores in the US don’t ship to my country (the Netherlands) European hat models from Stetson mostly got very low crowns and narrow brims, the top of your head is always touching the top of the crown inside. Unbelievable… That being said, really like your channel and subscribed, have a nice day man !

Your review is quite timely. I just ordered a Seneca 4X from the Buffalo Collection, and it has not yet arrived. While salivating for its arrival, what do I see, but a new review from the HNMC? I am glad to see you like the material. I am unfamiliar with the "Buffalo" felt hats, but nonetheless, am looking forward to wearing it. I bought the Seneca with a pinched crown as my (average-sized) noggin is slightly asymmetrical causing a Cattleman's crease to orient sightly off from "north-south". I wear a Stratoliner most of the time, and its pinched crown looks great. I am hoping that the Seneca works in similar fashion. If you are interested, I will update this post when I get the hat on my head.

The Seneca looks a bit like the Reagan Presidential Stetson that I reviewed on my channel. According to the Stetson website, they do not have the 7 3/4 size that I need in stock, which is often the case. Good to see you back in action. Looks like I dated the crazy younger sister of your college girlfriend. Great video. I just recently ordered a wool crusher and it should be delivered this Wednesday. I'm in the wet and cold PNW and the wool crusher should work well in our winter weather. Personally, changing the hat band gives a slight bespoke quality to hat. I go bespoke whenever I can. The Stetson Marshal may be in available in greater supply. FX is in talks to bring out a "Justified City Primeval Season 2. In City Primeval Raylan wore the Marshal. Stay Dangerous,

On the topic of the Xs, I have a 10X "beaver fur" Shasta, and I kid you not, after just one day of wearing the hat, those 10 Xs on the sweatband wore off. Although the hat is comfortable and I like it, there is no way I can demonstrate that it is a 10X beaver fur hat, LoL.

I've heard that complaint often about print disappearing from the Stetson hat band. Each time I wear my special edition Ronald Reagan Stetson, I worry that the lettering on the sweatband that says "Made Especially For President Ronald Reagan" is going to rub off.

Looks kinda like the hat worn in the movie Wind River , just a darker version. I can't find out the name I'm sure stetson makes it .I went to Google every hat company is claiming it.

Ha, I agree about the hat band. When I originally unboxed it I had reservations about the hat band as well but its such a nice looking hat that I thought oh well maybe I will change it. It grew on me though and I kept it on the hat. To me it looks sort of like Native American Indian in style. I actually had some compliments and some of them were about the hat band!

History Nerd............Welcome back. May I suggest that you do have a fall back position in that there is a bar in the man cave. Also, bourbons abound in your part of the country that many of us have never heard of. So dig in to the "pleasures of the hollow" as they say in Lynchville. And if you run dry, you can switch over to gin, scotch, tequilla, or vodka.

I've posted a couple of bourbon tasting videos. The Stetson videos that post get tens of thousands of views, and the boot videos perform similarly. Thanks for explaining the buffalo fur/wool X. I just bought a 4X Stetson Buffalo Broken Bow hat in Buck. It said it was water resistant, so i was wondering how can that be tge casr at 4X. Now i understand. Thanks for the knowledge. Love my Hat!!!

I actually live not too far from Garland, TX where the Resistol/Stetson factory is located at. They have a outlet store there with all styles of Stetsons and Resistol hats. High end and discounted! I found this hat on a shelf in the very back corner of the store and immediately fell in love with it once I put it on. Now its my daily hat to wear! Very comfortable and the Buffalo wool definitely keeps your head warm. Has a itty-bitty imperfection on the crown but with minimal notice. Got it at a great price!

So happy to see you back and healthy. You look great in the dirt brown hat. Now I have a question for you. I was trying to see what stuff you had in your large glass display cabinet behind you. There are 2 busts of men, one near the George Washington bust and a similar larger bust in the very bottom (my left, your right) behind the plate and old red trolly. Who are these guys and is the smaller one Elvis?

Thanks for watching. The smaller bust next to George Washington is, in fact, Elvis Presley, and the larger one is Winston Churchill. On that same shelf is a tankard made from spent brass ammunition gathered from the battlefields of WWII and an original piece of wood from the Twin Spires at Churchill Downs, where they run the Kentucky Derby. The "bust" behind the plate is actually a phrenology head that I bought for poops and giggles. The entire back wall of my man cave is comprised of glass cabinets, so maybe I'll make a video detailing all of the cool crap that's inside them.
