Hi Keith, loving the latest video showing the boot polish trick, IF memory serves me...they did the same thing to a vinyl roofed car on Car s.o.s! Our mini thirty has a Britax roof so, am going to try the polish

The paintwork looks pretty good already, definitely looks better with the original wipers and mirrors 👍

Thanks for the mention mate those mirrors were off my blue spi, will work nice on that car 👌its looking great. I love these type of projects putting a car back to original, much more of a challenge to do! t

Totally agree on the black wiper arms and blades,got rid of the tacky stainless kit on mine and put black bungs and washer jets back on👍

IMO the standard ones look best, as Rover intended. I would always go original especially with a project like racing green that isn'd modded and very much original. Great work by the way love the videos

Hi Keith, it's coming together nicely hey. I'd be torn between the mirror choice, think they both look good, but then the black mirrors and wipers are a better package I guess. Seats have come up well too hey 😊

10:10 boot polish? Didn't you know that? Where you been Keith? 😆 Use that on my work boots every day, I mean every day lol.

I’m with you on the wiper arms, black all the way! The standard mirrors are a big improvement also. The roof looks much better in green also!

The white roof is iconic with the 30th anniversary John Cooper conversions. I like the green, but i think once it has the white wheels it will look right

@@classicminiworkshop yeah that’s fair enough, definitely before you start sanding try some thinners and see if the white is still good underneath.

Hiya Keith-hope your OK. Must admit, I've used boot polish on my tyres before but never on the seats. They look good though!

Hi Keith, I like the contrast that the shiny wipers provide. However, I haven’t used the car in the rain! What colour is the racing green you have? My Mini was originally a mustard yellow (HL) but, is now a “Cooper” with LBM56 which I thought was a standard colour? Yours looks much darker than mine.

For your seats you could chat to Phil at Cartrim Auto Upholster in Haywards Heath to get any stitching redone and badges swapped over.

Keith what's the difference between a regular distributor cap and one used with an electronic ignition distributor. I've just bought an electronic ignition distributor and it had a crack in the cap. It doesn't look any different than a regular cap?
@classicminiworkshop
@classicminiworkshop 2 жыл бұрын
I think, if it was a factory electronic distributor it would have had a screw on cap, if it was aftermarket it would have a clipped cap. Cant be 100% sure though

@@classicminiworkshop I've bought a new cap to replace the cracked one and it's just a regular cap so I'll see how it goes. My distributor has clips on it and is aftermarket from Mini Spares. Thanks for your reply!

Also, forgot to ask what make/model is the polisher you are using?? I have a generic model from eBay but, it is set up for 7" discs/mops....the thing is too heavy and too big for the mini ! Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Brian
@classicminiworkshop
@classicminiworkshop 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brian, the make is Duren. If you search ebay for Duren DA kit, it should come up
