The Kodak zi8, the FlipHD or Creative's Vado HD will do pretty good video. I've only played with the VadoHD and would probably rate the video quality slightly better than the S10 even though the VadoHD doesn't do 1080p, it only does 720p.

hi ive got a problem ive bought this camera today i put it in the charge for like 5 hours and its just been solid orange around the record button. everytime i take the charger out if i try to open it it wont turn on, what should i do, is it faulty.

@keycomedy The format of the videos will be compatible to Windows. The videos I made with the camera where all saved uploaded from Windows. I truthfully cannot remember the file extension.

@Th3blist3r3xists It does full 1080p (1920 x 1080) but the quality (bit-rate) is not that high. Not good to compare and look at KZbin stuff even if has been recorded with a 1080p device but you can see for yourself that there is quality differences between a 1080 Toshiba versus 1080p of a Canon 7D.

I has very limited memory capacity so you can capture without a card. I don't recall how much. Check the manual.
