INSTALLING AND CODING THE LCI2 INDICATORS ON A PRE-LCI F56 COOPER S

Hey all! In today’s video I’ll be showing you how to install the new LCI2 indicators onto a Pre-LCI F56 MINI!
Here are the part numbers for the ones I have:

I purchased these through Rybrook Stratford MINI Parts, drop them a message on Facebook for more info! RRP is £99!
Bimmercode steps:
1) Load the body domain controller
2) Scroll to voltage monitoring
3) Set “turn signals mirror warm monitoring” to inactive
4) Set “turn signals mirror cold monitoring” to inactive
5) Finally set “turn signals mirror lamp” to LED.

For those who are going to ask. Hey , I cant find voltage monitoring, nor mirror turn signals in Bimmercode. Its been updated to "LED CONVERSION" and the proper nomenclature of "SIDE TURN SIGNALS" cause MINI doesn't do mirror turn signals.

@@BenRolfe man I'm going crazy! Had my sunroof shades (mesh) open and when I went to close the rear one I noticed it was loose (out of the rail) on one side. Can't actually find a fix and the part $$$$!! It's driving me nuts! Sorry had to vent!

Hey Ben nice vid as usual....the flashing can be caused by polarity as well....this happens a lot with LED Bulbs.....just flip the bulb or the connector and usually this fixes the flashing....But BimmerCode to the rescue....but flipping the LED bulb usually fixes it....without the coding.....FYI...Peace

Hey! Thank you for the kind words :) It seems that these indicators only connect one way, there is a notch on both the connector and socket which means they can only be installed one way. Thanks for the tips though :)

Hi Ben, hope all bud. Just to let you now BimmerCode has now the Mini option at very bottom after all BMW models. The option are different to your video, so maybe 🤔 worth doing update video, I got new Genuine Mini SE Side Scuttle Repeater Indicator Lamp set for F56/F57 installed on my R55 Mini Cooper look awesome guys!

Do you know if you can swap out the old fog lights for the new LED ones? I can't seem to find MINI offering the new OEM LED version for my pre LCI F56 S; but it does have the LED lights?

So the passage with bimmercode is needed only if you don’t have Led lights (I have led lights on the front but not for the indicators)

Hey, I'm not aware that Bimmercode can perform service updates. I think MINI or other garages use specific software to update service history.

Hello a bimmercode update today and I no longer have the voltage monitoring in it, do you have any idea what to do now? I have my turn signals but cannot find because of their update

First go to LED Conversion, 2. LED Conversion Turn Signal, then here you will have to options but you will be on Unassigned value, so just move to Active and Coding, then when you re start your Mini flashing will be disappear

Anything that’s not stock should be told to the insurance. Most providers allow you to add aesthetic modifications for no increased premium, you may have to pay an admin fee though.

I've got the same indicator lights as Ben. Used Bimmercode LED conversion on side turn signals, but they kept blinking fast as turn signal. When used as alarm light, all was ok.
