So I bought another and paired them. Two of them put out more than twice what they should. It's an amazing experience. I was just going to set them up to hear how they sounded before considering to return both of them and ended up listening to my favorite songs for two hours without realizing it.

@@RegahP because it means nothing. Manufacturers report the maximum wattage the device can generate by the amp allegedly. It's usually unverified, but more importantly, it doesn't indicate the first thing about the quality of the audio produced.

Just my personal experience) Obviously it depends on a lot of factors, but loud audio and punchy bass is achievable with not a lot of watts on a lot of smaller drivers. The anker that he looked at the other day literally had only two 6 watt drivers, and it was not like that speaker didn't have bass. It was plenty loud with good sound quality. I personally purchased a 2x45w + 65w amp and used it to power my two 200w speakers plus my subwoofer; I purchased the amp expecting it to be very quiet and unable to send anywhere near enough power to the subwoofer. Contrary to my belief, it actually gets loud enough to fill just about the entire house and drive the neighbors insane; I never even use it at full power. This is coming from a person who thought they needed at least 600 watts to get any kind of good sound quality... I was pleasantly surprised, and had a change of opinion. It's logarithmic, which means that doubling the watts does not double loudness. As such, the watts reading matters less and less the higher the numbers get. Although I will say that the watt figure is not completely useless, I don't think it should be a major concern when looking at speaker setups; as long as they have good reviews, it should be loud enough for most intents and purposes. Still, it's not as useless as DPI readings on computer mice lol //grabs popcorn

My buddy has the DVLA Phantom opera. I live hifi, I have never ever heard something sound so good from being so compact (compared to full size stereo hifi) If you got the money it's well worth it.

The bass sounds super clean for those frequencies. Not tryna stress too low on the lpfs but resonates them well

The thing is, Apple under Jobs regularly released products as groundbreaking and desirable as this, and while there were always people who denigrated Apple customers, the tide wasn't half as strongly against them as it is now, and with good reason. Nowadays they don't have much to set themselves apart. Industrial design is a seriously hot vocation at the moment, the competition is fierce and the innovation is a lot more diffuse. It was more common in the past, that innovation like this would be concentrated towards corporate giants, but this is less and less the case.

Lew, don't just test the speakers with the "same ol'" hiphop beats, the deep baseline, samples etc all have VERY defined frequencies, therefor you make it REALLY EASY for the machine to sound great! For that price the phantom reactor really disappoint when it comes to rock / classical and in general more nuanced and multilayered soundscapes. the only thing that really stands out is the loudness without quality loss, other then that its just a prolly machine that looks cool. it's not a bad speaker at all, but it terms of sound quality it's not worth the price. just saying this for all the people "longing" to have one of these.

Considering buying this, sticking it in my car to replace by audio system cause it's crap. Then I can also bring it in my house and use it as a home audio system. And I can bring it to a friend's house, or pop it outside and annoy my neighbors. It's like having a lot of sound systems at once.
