A 45 inch panel at 3440 x 1440p is only 80 to 90 ppi, which honestly kinda sucks. All these new 45 inch panels are terrible for normal desktop use as you can quite easily spot the individual pixels. At this size your going to want 4k or 5120 x 2160p which incidentally doesn't exist...yet. And yes i realize the difficulty of pushing that many pixels to 240fps. Even a resolution of 3840 x 1600 would have been preferable.

I don't know if it's the tech or LG just doesn't know its target market. Finally a 27, but matte, and no 32/34. Another year perhaps and will probably get the 42C2 in the meantime.

VR with bad PPI. For this size 84 isn't enough. It becomes much blurrier than around 110 PPI in other standard cases.

this is not 4k but WQHD, basicly 2k resolution pumped up to 4k on the horizontale resolution but the resolution factor is allways reppresentative of the height resolution which in this case is 1440p not 2160p. but wonderfull screen still.

Nice size, but personally I wish they'd upped the resolution (most 3840x1600 or similar) and stuck with 175 Hz or so. With this thing, your eyes would have to be 41.5 inches away from this screen for it to become "retina".

I bought the 27 inch and let me tell you the fact that it's OLED makes the colors so damn accurate that my other acer 4K 144hz monitor looks worst than than this LG monitor. Ive been exclusively using the LG I use the other monitor just for discord and other stuff.

I bought one of these over the weekend. The next day, it was stored somewhere at Best Buy, and the LG 42 C2 OLED Evo was sitting on my desk instead. I’ve been using the 77 LG 4k OLED CX for a couple years now, and I’m telling you, if you go from a 4K screen to 1440 (OLED or not) your brain will never be satisfied. For one, the picture quality is simply non-existent in comparison, and the 45” widescreen picture quality (“EDITED” on text and still images - not games) reminded me of an old CRT monitor. The only pleasing part - it was wide and VERY responsive. I’m NOT a competitive gamer, so a 0.01 or 0.03.. whatever they market this at.. means nothing to me. A 1ms response time is plenty. My replacement was night and day difference in quality, and half the price. My setup is: Intel I9-13900KF NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 64GB 6400mhz CL32 WD Black SN850X 2TB ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi 6 Specs shown in case people wanna know what hardware I run for 4K

@@sm4rtalixx doesn't matter at 240fps, the resolution is too low for the size of the monitor. the nice thing about 240hz monitors is they support UP TO that refresh meaning if it was 4k 240hz you could choose 4k 120 or 4k 144 and be perfectly fine. with it being 1440p at this size it`ll be like looking at a image through a screen door.

The 45" is a beauty. I have a 34" one for work. 4K as well, and ultra wide, and I'm the envy of the office :). At home I have a Dell S3222DGM, which is not as curved as the LG monitors, but curved enough. It is only Quad HD, up to 165HZ. I have it paired with my Alienware X14, and it's a great setup.
