I heard the second ever performance of Unbroken Chain on 3/23/95 in Charlotte. Was blessed by Grateful Dead Tickets to see it from the 7th row on the floor. Mind melted and haven't recovered since. Glad to hear it still grooving all these years later.

I was there for it and remember it well, I heard it the first time, so I knew what it was. I waited to see my friend's face when it dawned on him.

Caught one of the early Unbrokens at the Silver Bowl in Vegas '95. Words are insufficiant to describe, but something came full circle in that moment of time & space. Thank you Phil for the good vibes you brought on this journey.

That transition around 4:20, and whenever it comes around... it c doesn't get any better than that when the song is rocking and everybody flows into it. This particular show seems to be a little more laid back than my favorites, but still a very nice rendition of a wonderful song. Thanks for posting it.

Was in Philly for the first performance of this groovy ass song and that place erupted like nothing I had ever heard before. It was one helluva magical nite. Remember it like it was last nite. And Phil was concerned that Jerry wasn’t going to be able to pull it off but damn if the Phat Man didn’t pull it of beautifully. But it’s sad because Phil was asked why it was never played and he simply said cause it will be the end of the Grateful Dead. And how right he was. Tragic.
