As a former football coach, I knew exactly what to say to a Ref to get a unsportsmanlike call. Referee's do not have to explain an in-game call to players. It's a courtesy. When Dray started yelling and cussing, that courtesy is no longer extended. I'm no lip reader, but it seemed like Draymond even called him, "Pu**y". And again...Ok, you may want the first tech.....just to get your point across that you didn't see it as a foul. But once you get that first tech, let it go. Fouls aren't as seen by the player, they are as seen by the official. Refs would spend the entire game trying to explain every call, because someone is going to disagree with every call and want an explanation.

Why was Draymond getting so upset with the ref and he didn't even get a foul? Wiggins clearly fouled Paolo. Wiggins wasn't even upset with the ref so I dont see what Draymond's issue is. He's out of control. He just wanted a reason to go off and blow off some steam.

Draymond didn't cost himself a finals MVP. He would've won finals MVP if they won Game 7, but him getting suspended is what led to a Game 7 in the first place. If he didn't get suspended and they won in 5, Steph would've won finals MVP.

Steph led the team in assists and plus-minus despite a woeful shooting night against one of the league’s best defenses. THAT’S also a reflection on his leadership style, right? He had a 40-point double-double in game 4 of the ‘22 Finals (down 2-1) on the road, while Draymond was going back-and-forth to the bench in the 4th quarter because he’d been just that inept offensively. That’s also a reflection on his leadership. The Poole situation was/is a smear on the entire organization, but people are making a LOT of assumptions about what Steph did or didn’t say or do to address the situation internally. The fans don’t know. Could he have done more? It certainly seems that way. But you can’t accuse him, nor his teammates (old or young) of having given up on anything-as evidenced by tonight’s win. Maybe people should allow the situation to play out (and remember that they’ve already won FOUR titles-including TWO without KD-while working around Draymond’s nonsense). Amazing how people look for any and all holes in what’s been one of the greatest runs for any franchise in NBA history
