What a great interview. The last ten minutes were great. Danny was one of my favorite players at UNC as he worked his butt off. Also love that coach always does what he can to help the guys in the NBA. What I have learned throughout my own career is I had to actually do the work, like Danny had to do, but it never hurts when someone highly respected in your field puts in a good word for you. Those connections are invaluable!

Excellent interview. Danny I remember when you guys beat my Illini for the championship and they talked about your dad. I was a fan of yours at that point! Congratulations on a great career. Most people don't realize how close Ewing was to signing with UNC. MJ was recruiting Pat hard to come with him to Chapel Hill. Ewing in the middle, Perkins at the 4, with J-Dub at the 3. SMH

That's true about Michael's senior year at Laney High School because his team finished with I believe 19 wins and were eliminated in the state playoffs by the oldest high school in New Hanover County New Hanover High School whose main go-to players back then were Kenny Gattison who went on to play at Old Dominion and had a ten year NBA career and Clyde Simmons who won the Division IIA college football championship at Western Carolina University and had a fourteen-year career in the NFL mostly with the Philadelphia Eagles. Michael wasn't even the player of the year (Mr. Basketball) in the state of North Carolina which went to his roommate at North Carolina and his long-time friend Buzz Peterson who is the Director of Player Personnel for the Charlotte Hornets of which Michael is the major owner of. I was a resident of Wilmington then and in fact, live just 17 miles from there today. When Michael was being recruited at UNC my youngest brother went to a Laney game curious as to who the local kid was that they were recruiting and who there was so much hoopla surrounding. He said he didn't realize who on Laney's team it was until this one very athletic player began making these spectacular 360 dunks. Once he saw that he knew who it was. I had the pleasure of watching some of Michael's college games and it was a joy to watch being a rabid Tar Heel fan.

Oh please what a joke..No one outside the U.S. has ever even heard of Lebron - MJ is famous across every galaxy and throughout every form of life in the universe. I for one have never once seen Lebron play - not even a highlight so how good could he be? Is Lebron even in the top 50? Like I said I've never seen him play - never seen a highlight. but there's tribes in the Amazon jungle wearing Air jordan's and 23 jerseys. Because MJ is bigger than life itself and Lebron is just a good basketball player in the current era.
