It's not that simplistic. Over a thousand D1 football players transfer every year. If you feel like you have a better opportunity somewhere else, then you explore those options....and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, you gotta analyze your place on the depth chart, incoming recuits rated higher than you, scheme fit, and make the best decision for YOU. You only get 4 yrs to get it right.

Na, I was a young man back in the 90's working my butt off and going to nite school to get my BS for upper management. They made me a jack of all trades at that job, got that BS and talked to Big Boss about the seven open positions which I was now qualified for and I heard those words " if you want a promotion you need to thank about transferring". Really, I need to seek a transfer when you have 7 positions here that's not filled and have not been filled in the past year. I was in my mid twenties at that time, so it didn't damper my spirits it made me more resolution. Now I'm a HV man fully retired and enjoying life.

They do not know that as you move up from each level Pee Wee, Jr. High School, High School, Jr. College, College,NFL. EVERYONE was a STAR at the previous level. They had to be or they would not have made it to the present level. So at each level you can be as confident as you want to be. Talk as much s#$t as you want to . But just like Shannon and Ocho did YOU GOT TO BRING IT ON THE FIELD/ These days kids in Pee Wee. spend more time perfecting their end zone dance than they do on learning how to run a basic crossing route or a cut block. This is the reason I do not coach youth sports. I just do not have the patience or tolerance.

College football has changed since NIL and the transfer portal. College football is not college football any more. College football is dead. College is now semi-pro football. That is the new reality and players, coaches, and fans have to adjust to a very different reality. I don't follow Colorado closely, but I understand a player that Deion told to transfer, stayed and he became unhappy with his lack of playing time and coaching. I have 2 points. College football is not like it used to be and not like the athlete expected. Now, every player is expendable and every school is just a paycheck. Players can and will leave school for more pay. The complaint against Sanders is justified. He is not an old school coach who wants to educate students for their life after graduation. He is a semi-pro coach who wants the top players now so he can win. Nothing wrong with that because Deion epitomizes the NIL generation. But I don't think racism or jealousy is part of this. NIL is pay for play. College football is not about student athletes any longer. It is about playing football pretty much full time and learning how to handle the NIL money coming in. Remember, taxes have to be paid on NIL money which could bite players in the pocket book at some point.
