I am a Pastor's wife, and you are absolutely right. Not many of us are writing books. If she really felt or feels this way about Shaq she still should have kept that to herself. This is true, but what about the potential hurt she endured and accepted without leaving for a long time. Does that damage not matter? I am not saying get stuck there, but I am saying in life we have consequences and they dont aleays feel good but it doesnt mean they dont make sense. Never should anyone get stuck in their padt transgressions. They absolutely do not define you. With that being said, you can be aware of how they shaped your journey and share that testimony without being paralyzed by the experience. And sharing that with her children is not toxic, it is actually healthy to teach children how to identify, tap into and cultivate a healthy love. To be honeat bith she and Shaq could share the story and help kods understand human behavaior and emotions from a vantage point that was afforded to them. There are 2 ways to learn; mistakes and mentors. I wpuld gladly mentor my children by shating my mistakes so their understanding can come from me as a mentor instead of painfully watching them endure the mistakes. I dont know either of them, but I do think when we make commentary on the lives and experiences of others, we should have a clear understannding of the context and information to allow our comments to come from a place of love, respect, and consideration.
