Think of a musician nowadays, standing up on stage before you, belting out a setlist like this. It’s absolutely unthinkable. And to think this man, 39 years later, is still writing jaw-dropping songs like this! Whether or not you’re a huge fan of his, it can’t be denied that the songs he’s written and continues to write are American classics. His words will be crooned for as long as humanity exists. A legend in the truest sense of the word. Thank GOD I’ve seen the man a number of times live. It’s like being in the same room as Beethoven or Whitman, DaVinci, or Shakespeare. We are so blessed! But nowhere as much as this man’s pen and typewriter was. Thank you Bob! “I’ll be with ya through and through.”

U've seen him number of times. But for me, I listen to him here in Russia, still 1995 when I bought a bootleg audiotape "THE BEST OF BOB DYLAN". That's all I have, ancient tapes, dvd-disk and internet records later, and youtube, and enough! For to feel his spirit. Not all words 😊

I was 10 in 1976 and already an avid Bod Dylan fan, no matter what anyone else said I played his music loud and proud and sang along in my own little world. I still do that today, I dreamed of seeing him in concert for my whole life, and in November of 2019 he came to Providence, RI. My son-in-law and I were fortunate enough to get the last 2 seats, he took me for an early Christmas present and we were both in our glory as he is just as big a fan as me. Upon leaving the theater we were blessed with the opportunity to walk along side Bob Dylan's tour bus, it was a very large but unassuming brown beauty. Unfortunately the windows were all black and we couldn't see him, but we'll still say we walked along side Bob at a distance of less than 10 feet, what an awesome ending to a tremendously exciting night. The only that could top that would be to actually meet Bob Dylan in person and speak to him some day.

More impressive is her soul, heart, guitar and voice get well songs to John Prine, then suffering after cancer treatment and apparently hosting coronavirus 19 before transitioning. Joan Baez in her kitchen with a guitar and some chicken soup for a fallen 'worker in song.' She credits Prine with having written some of the most requested songs in her wide multi-lingual repertoire. She ain't no songwriting slouch, either. Bless ya, Joan, blessed spirit of sis Mimi for all her good works with Bread & Roses and transitioning too young, and surely in blessed memory and continuing spirit in songs of John Prine... I mean, there are many lyricists and composers (serious ones) out there, French, Spanish, British... who also sell millions of records. Nevertheless, none of them approaches the impact and relevance that Mr. Dylan has had in society along his more than sixty years on stage, delivering his message to humankind. Peace.

I had a buddy when we were in our teens back in the early 70s, who with me, we were the big Dylan freaks in SHeepshead Bay Brooklyn. We used to lock our other friends in his bedroom and not let anyone out until they heard Desolation Row, Visions.... and other classics over and over until they admitted they loved it. This would take 2 or 3 hours and several bowls of Colombian weed. WHat a blast.

This was intended to be the tv special. Somehow it got bollixed and so they shot what became Hard Rain. I saw RTR on this leg, in Houston, and it was an incredible show with Willie Nelson opening the second half. I've read though, that the troupe had a miserable time. Dylan was divorcing and subsequently changed the show, his hat and his sense of play. Baez has written about it. Somehow everyone pulled together come showtime.

And in addition, in everything I've heard ..till 2017, he has Never sung a flat note. He's a master of melody, harmony and rythymn. And this , of course, does not speak to ho his Words, of course.

Very young Dylan beauty voice! Soft and clear! Nicee! Guitar and harp play was then as right now easy for Musicman🎶. Still going strong decades and decades later!🌹❤️ Forever young for Dylan❤️🌹

Isis is one of Dylan's greatest live performances, I keep coming back to view this. But did you notice that he skipped a verse?

This should of aired on his NBC special instead of the Hard Rain concert in Colorado. This concert is pure Bob Dylan.

I was there at the Biltmore that day about 8 feet from the stage. This was a Burt Sugarman production that NEVER aired. How in the hell did you get this? I am so grateful to see it.

Wow. Dylan not too young, not too old. Just perfect! Great blend of his 60's and 70's best. Thanks for posting! I have seen the Hard Rain special of course, but never saw this before. Joan Baez is beautiful and amazing here!

It is noted in wikipedia that rehearsals for the spring leg were held in Clearwater, Florida during April, and the first show was on April 18 at the Civic Center in Lakeland, Florida. (Performances by Dylan and Baez during the Clearwater rehearsals were taped and aired on The Midnight Special.)

An absolute gift to behold : Mr Tambourine Man seems to be a kaleidoscope of Bob’s inner feelings like craving for time out of mind. Bobby Newhart whom Dylan knows for 1200 yrs although humorous , causes Bob to break the song with an OOH ! Dylan is more the genius 🎼 Merci for post.

Their duets are tge best I've seen and heard. The Water is Wide, I shall be Released ( RTR ) and their casual practicing the 3 harmony songs at the Savoy hotel in 1965. I keep going back to that film clip.

Thanks for reminding me about the Savoy Hotel rehearsals. These duets of theirs just send me to another plane. Can't get enough of them. I totally love Bob in all his incarnations but I keep coming back to RTR the most.
