Im a big fan for the OG MMPR Rangers, but the second team of rangers finally came into their own when it was Zeo and I absolutely loved Tanya, Aisha, Adam and Rocky were dope but if I were to honestly switch colors, I felt Rocky would have been better as black ranger just because he's a lot more like Zack and Adam as Red is more relaxed and ultimately developed a leadership quality especially later.

Love that the actors are able to get together and talk shop without all the animosity. I was born in 1990 and I literally grew up with the show. It wasn't until I was in college when I started watching the conventions on KZbin that I learned so much shit was going on behind the scenes. Wow. I never knew. But, it's good to know that Hollywood didn't distort their relationship despite the tactics.

I don't know if Karan is reading this... but growing up I grew up in the Dominican republic watching the show in spanish and I say this because when I watched the show in English for the first time I fell in love with your voice and character hehe. I know this is like the normal thing I was in love with the Kimberly, I wanted to be as intelligent as Billy as strong as Tommy and brave as Jason... but when you guys came on board I didn't see you as a replacement though I was confused because I was a kid but I liked you guys so much and I picked up right away and I wanted to be like rocky hehe. When Kat came on board I didnt like her, but later after zeo I started to like her and appreciate the lessons I learned from the episodes. And nakia I didn't see her as a replacement however I think she was so smart and self aware and I really learned from her character. I wish you the very best and I hope to meet all of you in person one day.

I loved Power Rangers but my single issue with it was they kept replacing the characters way too much. Like Trini, Jason, Zack, was replaced it felt like a girl just broke up with me, then a couple months later I was getting use to Rocky, Adam and Aisha.......then they were replaced. So the problem is the show didn't give that much to fall in love with the new characters.

They inherited the Turbo powers (not start fresh with new powers) and that little shit Justin was still on the team. They are the 4 replacements (5 if you count Astronema / Karone, which I also do) that Karan forgot about.

goshadowkenny I don't think you understood what I meant. The new actors who were cast in Turbo replaced the entire existing "teen cast" at once (with the exception of Blake Foster, who had only been there for a short time and was still "new" himself). I think Karan was specifically talking about people who joined EXISTING, long-running cast members and had to deal with the awkwardness of working themselves into an group of people who'd known each other for a while and had already become close, just like a kid moving to a new school in the middle of a school year. The new Turbo actors didn't have to deal with that issue (at least not to the same extent the others did) because ALL of them were "new".

You mean Aisha wouldn't be popular if Thuy never left the show in the first place, because by the time she died in 2001, MMPR hadn't been on the air since 1996 and when Aisha took over the role of the yellow ranger, that was two years before that. So Thuy's death doesn't have anything to do with Karan aka Aisha, replacing her.

@@swslwatts True that. I remember 1 time I experienced this personally. I was in an elevator when 2 who I thought were white American women entered. One even had blonde hair & blue eyes. Next thing I know the 1 with brown hair turned to the 1 with blonde hair & spoke Spanish. Then her friend did the same. The 2 wound up getting off on a different floor than me, but I can remember being floored at how wrong I was to assume they would speak English or that they were Spanish after all.

Oh, so Catherine reveals that the producers DID make a mistake with bring Tommy and Kat together. I knew it! "A Season to Remember" is not canon in my eyes as a result, other than Alpha's Christmas prezzie from Zordon. ;). It has been confirmed in-show that the potential relationship between Tommy and Katherine never worked out. In the Turbo episode "Cars Attacks", Kat auditions to be part of the London's Royal Dance Academy and she gets in. They tell her she'll join them in the fall semester. The first 19 episodes with the first turbo team takes place during the summer so after Passing the Torch happens, summer is over and Kat heads off to London and Tommy goes to college. Also, Tommy/Kimberly was/is an actual relationship. In spite of all the issues with the characters, and how it ended so heatrbreakingly, they actually were boyfriend & girlfriend, and more or less acted like it. Tommy/Kat is a potential relationship. There was a lot of mooning and attraction and the like, but no real substance. They have their first date in the penultimate episode of Zeo, and with how Turbo ignored anything resembling progression for these characters, that's the end of it. A Season to Remember is literally the only thing we have to show that those two had anything more than a single date. There's relationship potential there, and some interesting bits that they could have made good material out of, but they didn't. They hummed and hawed and stalled and stretched and wound up doing absolutely nothing with their potential. PR does the potential relationship instead of an actual relationship thing far, far too often, and this is point zero of that entire tradition. I personally like to insist that the future shown in Zeo was just one possible timeline, but because of certain paths the PRU we've been following has taken (such as Kat leaving for London while Tommy stayed in America), the timeline we've been following and the timeline shown in A Season to Remember no longer connect, and are thus unrelated. Tommy/Kimberly for me. Mainly because the original Power Communicators are used in A Season to Remember. The Command Center/The Power Chamber is destroyed for the final time in Chase Into Space, Part II and Zordon is destroyed in Countdown to Destruction, Part II, so not even the communicating system would work, let alone teleportation, plus ASTR still potrays like both Zordon would be still alive and the CC/PC would be still in one piece and operational. Besides, almost no plots were transferred from Zeo to Turbo, the only connections between Turbo and Zeo are Bulk & Skull, Zordon and Alpha 5 and Rocky. Tommy/Kat might have happened at one point, but I still like to think that Tommy and Kimberly eventually met somewhere, worked out everything and got back together, thus, continuing their relationship from where they left it. ----- Also, if you think about it long and hard, Kimberly never would've written the Dear John letter. Amy Jo just asked to be written off the show, and this was the writers' way of an attempt at "ending" the Kimberly-Tommy relationship to 1) allow Tommy and Kat to get together, and 2) emphasize that despite Zordon saying that she could come back when she was finished with her time in Florida, Kimberly would not be returning. I think even Amy Jo said the only reason she did the Turbo Movie is because she was between jobs, and it wasn't a long shooting schedule for her. Otherwise, she wouldn't have done it. ---- I feel like the Tommy and Katherine relationship never seemed to progress and in fact hit a brick wall in Turbo. They both seemed to go their separate ways a lot of the time and showed little common interests other then being rangers and "parenting" Justin. I don't quite get why people call Tommy and Kimberly so immature but Tommy and Katherine's date and moments in "Hawaii Zeo" and "Good as Gold" bordered on far more middle school fluff. I guess I never really saw that true romantic spark with them, they seemed like two great friends trying to date but not having what it took to be more then that. I actually felt bad for Katherine at points in Turbo, at this point they were suppose to be a couple and you saw Tanya being there for her at the times Tommy should have been or wanted to be. Her graduation speech, dance recital tryout and academy audition. I also don't buy the "they both were evil" therefore that bond makes them more compatible. That could worked if we saw them actually bond over it. We never did. Katherine's evil past seemed all but forgotten by Zeo. I give more weight to the bond Tommy and Kimberly had with their respective power losses because you saw them bond over them and saw parallels to how they supported each other. So not surprisingly I vote Tommy and Kimberly. The chemistry and bond just felt stronger. They seemed to have similar senses of humor and looked like they genuinely enjoyed each others company one on one.

Which meant that the producers meant Tommy/Kat to be canon. Just sayin'. Also, I can't see why Tommy and Katherine can't have a long distance relationship post-Turbo, or get back together after college. Nor do I see what the problem is with being less outwardly affectionate with each other, or doing less things together- that doesn't change what they feel for each other, only how they show it. +agentrikamcgee It has been confirmed in-show that the potential relationship between Tommy and Katherine never worked out. In the Turbo episode "Cars Attacks", Kat auditions to be part of the London's Royal Dance Academy and she gets in. They tell her she'll join them in the fall semester. The first 19 episodes with the first turbo team takes place during the summer so after Passing the Torch happens, summer is over and Kat heads off to London and Tommy goes to college.

+agentrikamcgee Catherine wasn't pregnant at the time. Dinothunder was shot in 2004 and she didn't have her first child until 2006. She herself has said they contacted her early on but talks didn't get far and she was never actually offered the part.

They did that because amy Jo have no idea of returning that is the reason they made a tommy and Kat's relationship and that is what catherine sutherland meant. But I like tommy and kat relationship I hated tommy and Kim's relationship.i didn't even watch the show when they had tommy and Kim relationship I watched the show in zeo when Kim broke up with tommy and when they started tommy and Kat's relationship.

+Nagalakshmi ruddraraju I just don't get what was likable about Tommy and Katherine as a couple. I'm not bashing Katherine here, infact I think she was far more invested in a potential relationship with Tommy then he was. The thought of asking her out didn't even cross his mind seemly until "Hawaii Zeo" the 2nd the last episode of Zeo and in Turbo (since JDF was ready to leave the show) Tommy couldn't seem to give her the time of day. Infact in Zeo it seemed always about her supporting him and the focus on him, with little on her. To me it just made the relationship feel very one-sided. Katherine deserved better then that. She deserved the kind of focus and attention Tommy paid Kimberly and she just never got it. I agree with Catherine I think the character would have benefited to not being paired with him. It just brought more unfair hate to her character, it lacked creativity and really took away from her chance at a more character focus and development.

Unfortunately I have never had the privilege of meeting any of the Power Rangers. I've watched pretty much every episode of Power Rangers from Mighty Morphin to Dino Thunder.
