We Nepalese do believe Elephants should also be freed. We had and are beeing doing our best to protect. We have completely stopped poaching of wild animals, increase Jungles for their natural habitat. But sometimes, with big animals like Elephants and Rhinos we are getting troubled. They enter into our city but then also we try our best possible effort. We asked many people from different countries. We applied their ideas too but that couldn't work. Come with us new ideas we love to apply. Good things are always accepted no matter who shows. And I can understand how she feels, she has a good heart.

I cannot believe these beautiful and smart animals have to live in suffering just because some degenerate people find it amusing to have rides on them. Aren't there enough fun things to do that don't involve taking advantage of an innocent animal? This woman is a true inspiration.

That would be pretty horrible and my rant would have been about poachers instead. But to be honest I'm not sure which one is worse, being hunted and killed or being confined to one spot for most of your life with a rusty chain.

I do not have too much spare time. How would you know that? You do not know who I am. And even if I did, you are still a jerk, and these gorgeous animals do not deserve to be chained up. You are changing the subject because your too scared to be wrong. Being wrong is ok and so is admitting that your wrong. News flash: YOUR WRONG!

As I listen to this my heart breaks for what animals endure bc of humans. Bless this woman for changing their lives for the better. Humans have choices; animals have none. Elephants are such INCREDIBLE animals. I have only just learned, after so many years, that they mainly communicate with a low rumble called infrasonic sound that the human ear cannot even hear it. There is so much about elephants that is quite, quite incredible, yet people abuse them and chain them up and use them for entertainment. I live for the day that using them in this way stops forever🐘❤❤

Thank god I feel like more and more people are becoming more sympathetic towards all animals. If you want an amazing experience with elephants go to a rescue sanctuary where these animals have acres to roam free. You can feed them, and trust me that is far more rewarding for you, your children, and the elephants. My dream would be that all exotic animals were free and not going extinct because of our cruel ways. Maybe one day 🤞🍀

I saw these elephants at chitwan national park in circa 2005, swimming with them in the river and chasing after rhino in the forest was one of the best experiences in my life and subsequent to that the guides took us to the elephant enclosures - that was one of the most shameful, they were locked up and rocking heads just like in here, it was heart wrenching and I planned to do something but never did. I'd love to help do something directly if I can and any assistance is needed?

I HATE TO SEE BEAUTIFUL AND INTELLIGENT ELEPHANTS IN CHAINS. Humans are the most horrible and cruel of all the animal species. Circus must be forbitten and children must be thought since they are small, to be kind and respect animals, whatever they are. Animals feel pain and anguish, just like humans do. I am an older person, but the longer I live the more I recognize how much suffering we humans cause to animals and it makes me very sad. -- "The more I get to know people, the more I like animals" The people that are helping those elephants deserve to have a monument !!! Thank You.

If anyone sees this and can send me a link to follow her I would love that! Elephants need to be freed and live in herds! Tourists could bring a special gift safe and helpful from their own land for the elephants and/or their caregivers like water purifiers or water pump etc. etc. Share some good suggestions to replace hurting elephants that can/could also benefit there watchers which gives some alternative ideas for incentive to enhance lives, create awareness, change outlook, and to strengthen/build a cleaner/kinder world for all life on it. I have watched many of these animal documentaries about most all animals. I find them interesting. I have no animals including dogs and cats but I am not an animal hater. When younger, I had several animals but mostly birds. I slowly came to view them realistically. Which is more than I can say about most of the commenters here. Sometime, I think people like their dogs better than their own children and certainly more that they do other humans.
