When I finally figured out this puzzle I laughed my ass off at how simple it all was. It took me about 30 minutes. I just came here to see if anyone else has trouble with it, and I'm glad I'm not the only one.

For those who loves puzzle solving this is the best part of the game. The only way to beat it if you trigger Nate’s dialogue and look though the journal, skipping a couple page or two you’ll see Sanskrit like symbols matching the colors of the animals and shapes to match the symbols. I hope you guys are reading this for those who haven’t figured it out. It honestly took me a 3 mins or so to beat the board. it’s such a brain buster and I love it! 😂

I give whoever made this engine controls in all mad props on part 2 as I recall part one was pretty crappy I had part 2 came with my PS3 for a few years and I never even put the disc in but this game definitely took a genius I like how it kept you guessing provided a good challenge and kept things fresh frustrated me a couple times that's to be expected I just finished the combination I had to look on KZbin for the code that was a little insane I couldn't quite pick that out on my own didn't want to take the time I like Fight Night Champion a lot too I would like to be a beta tester for these games anybody know how to get in on that I got a little down time I had brain surgery about a month ago

The answer is in the journal. Each shape is linked to a certain element and so is each beast pictured on the wall. After that the symbols are linked to a colour and the element aswell, so air is green, water is white and so on.
