While I was amazed then I first played the game in 2014 on PS3 that developers made the big island layout without locations overlapping I always thought it wasn't a single location file since, you know, prerednered cutscenes (while they're playing the game can unload old location file and load a new one). And here I am seeing that the island is indeed SINGLE location thanks to this speedrun.

you walk forward and spam aim really fast. slow motion helps a lot for the glitch to work and mapping the aim button on square for example helps to make the aim spamming easier.

Why don't you turn on infinite ammo and one hit kill? Is it considered cheating in the speedrun community of this game? Also why did no enemies spawn at 19:49 you didnt do any major skips in that chapter before the fight.

turning these on doesnt really help but it takes time to turn them on. they didnt spawn cause i didnt go in there the normal way... gotta defeat everyone outside first for them to be there.

tbh I'm not sure anymore who exactly found which glitch but Mattmatt10111 and ThrillUK used to glitchhunt a lot in this so credits for finding good ways of running this goes mostly to them. (and the uc speedrun community in general) Now the 5 min airwalk is really precise and the main reason why many don't even bother with the category. - For the first longer airwalk it's pretty easy to tell where I'm gonna end up by watching the few levelelements spawning in to the right. If I'm too far to the left Sully dies and too far to the right I lose time. Once the skybox is gone I know I'm inbounds/close to inbounds again, so I pause to let the game load. - For the long chapter 4 airwalk I know that it takes pretty much exactly 5 minutes to get where I need to be. If the skybox disappears after that time it's a good sign that I might get it. (there's a backup if you miss it which loses like a minute) - For the airwalk close to the end I wait exactly 20 seconds from when he starts running, then use the cameramode to load in the collision.

@@gotale9471 when youre close to an enemy and you dont aim downsights you got a strong autoaim on every difficulty level. explorer adds an autoaim to normal aiming as well which is particularly helpful in this run as most runners switch the aim button to something like square as its easier to mash for the airwalks. when you see me shoot without enemies nearby its mostly because going upstairs while hipfiring is faster than doing it the normal way. shooting also enables combat running speed when enemies are nearby.

@@Shine69yt I know I can be annoying and thank you for taking the time to read me and answer me and, abusing precisely your attention, I hope to try to explain myself in a better way. I have not memorized each and every one of the zones with their respective fights, but I have seen in other speedruns that with the clipwalls some that I do indeed identify are avoided, precisely by the clipwalls. It is clear that when you skip chapters you avoid everything in them, obviously including fights, but I do not mean the whole chapters that have been skipped, but those in which you pass them or a part of them. The way you do your speedrun, I'm not sure if there are some zones (specifically "legal zones" that were designed to play and not clipwalls) where normally there should be enemies and precisely because of the shortcuts you can't find them. In that scenario it is my doubt, if for the glitches not achieved on a first occasion or that it takes too long to do so and the enemies appear and then you have to restart the checkpoint. In those subsequent attempts the enemies that could be avoided in a first attempt will then appear where they usually should be when restarting the checkpoint thus frustrating the trick? I don't know if I was able to make myself understood, I hope so. Regards.

Ich wollte es nicht wahr haben, dass selbst so ein gutes Spiel Fehler hat :D Gibt es eigentlich auch eine Erklärung, warum das überhaupt funktioniert? @@Royale9 naja mein run ist ja im grunde auch legit.. nur ne andere kategorie :D jap bin auchn riesen fan der uncharted reihe. puh gute frage.. ist ja oft so bei glitches dass man rumprobiert und irgendwann klappts aber einiges kann man sich nicht genau erklären.. das durch wände gehen ist wohl einfach nen problem mit der kollisionsabfrage wenn man ins zielen übergeht.. der airwalk hingegen.. ka. bin da auch nicht so sehr drin in der materie. denke mal sie haben einfach nen fehler beim programmieren gemacht was das aiming angeht.

You can use the glitch where you can use tweaks on it, basically there’s no point if you haven’t beat the game hard, basically just start up the game, turn the difficulty down to hard, and then press circle, do not use X to confirm or cancel just press the options button, now pause again and choose whatever weapons or tweaks you want, now go to the options tab in the pause menu, and turn the difficulty back to crushing or brutal, press circle to confirm, but again don’t press X to confirm anything, just press the options button again, and there ya go, keep in mind though, every time a cutscene starts or a new chapter, you might lose a weapon, this also might happen if you die, so if it does happen, just repeat all the steps I stated, if you want change weapons or tweaks, repeat the same steps, just remember the most important step is to always switch it back to the original difficulty before you finish the chapter, or it won’t count as the original difficulty, hope this helped man, now you can get those crushing and brutal trophies, good luck
