I now have a BBC :-) We had these at school along with the PETs, so here is my first Beeb video.
The quality isn't great as it's through composite. I can't get the RGB to sync properly without replacing a crystal and a chip. There are some artifacts on moving objects that you don't see on the real thing (the capture and processing has added those).
So here is Uncle Claude. A single screen game where you have to push the items to the conveyor belt, avoiding Claude and the computers flying across the screen.
There are 11 levels which I show here, though I didn't manage to finish the last one. Level 12 is the same as level 1, but faster.
This version is a fixed version, as the original would corrupt the screen when you got to level 11 and you would be killed when hitting it. There was also a spelling mistake on the title screen (CONTIUE).
This is an enhanced version of Electro Freddy. Joystick support was added (though that originally caused the crashing on Level 11 I think), though for some bizarre reason the joystick controls are backwards, so I had to hold it the wrong way round.
You can play almost any BBC games at www.bbcmicro.co.uk
Fixed versions have been uploaded there by the looks of it.
The fix was done by Michael Brown on the excellent BBC Stardot forum www.stardot.org.uk/forums/ind...
I've played this quite a bit and even though it has dodgy collision and unfair deaths, I liked it quite a bit.
