Uncle Funky's Curly Magic is my Holy Grail next to my home made flax seed gel. I am 4c and I need more than one pump, but that stuff works like magic for giving my kinky hair coils and curls for days! I buy the 32oz size online. I have watched many of your videos and a lot of products seem to work for your hair, but my kinky hair is very particular and curly magic is the only gel I have found to work for me (besides my flax seed gel). I have the curly magic and I have to use it as just a moisturizer because it didn't hold for my hair. I did a wash and go and all it did was moisturize. I had to put some of a different kind of gel on top. I love it for its extreme moisture!!!💗. I apply it to my hair when I am going to protective style. It makes my hair grow very well.

I’m excited that you all reviewed this line! The Curly Magic has become a staple for me this past month. It gives me plump and uniform texture that is locked into place with no frizz. My usual styler, Kinky-Curly, has less elongation and a more soft and flexible hold. I rotate. It is interesting that the Curly Magic works best for you all applied wet (per instructions). The product didn’t work at all for me until I started applying it to damp hair. I get frizz, crunch and flakes if I apply to washed and deep conditioned hair that is soaking wet.

Glossy contains cyclopentasiloxane. It is evaporating type silicone but I contacted UFD and they didn't know how fast it evaporates or if it can build up.

I like how the review is done after you actually tested it. Others will get sent a product and have a review up before midnight and their hair hasn't even dried. Haven't tried these products, I wanted to years ago but I thought they were going to close down (the owners divorced and were fighting over the rights to the ingredients I think) so there was no use in me getting attached to products that would be discontinued lol.

AntheaToya We think you will love the UFD products. Give them a chance. The gel in our opinion is slightly more moisturizing than CRN. But you have to be sure to make sure your hair is good and saturated with water. It makes alllll the difference. Trust us. 🤓🦁💕➰

Alexandria East Of course we love them both. They feel comparable in texture. CRN gel promotes their gel to be layered on top of one of her moisturizing products like, Fresh Curls, Curl Love or one of her butters whereas UFD promotes their brand to be a stand alone product, though in our video we layered it on top of one of their moisturizing products. At this point it would be personal preference. Of course LoriAnne prefers any and all things CRN 😂 and when I asked TaylorAnne she actually preferred UFD. How’s that for confusing you? You gotta love us 😂😂😂-LoriAnne

I noticed that using it alone didn’t do much for me and while my ends were super defined my roots were insanely frizzy despite applying a ton of product and even having my mom apply a lot of it (shout-out to your mom, having your mom be natural with you is the best).

Marguerite Mcnair We have found that a wash and go will last us for about 3-4 days. The definition the gel gives you can be revived daily with their “Thirsty Curls” curl revitalizer.....And perhaps longer but because we have to test new products so often we have to keep it moving. 😂

April Lyn I definitely used to wash my hair everyday until I learned how to preserve my curls. It’s also a little harder to preserve, I felt after I big chopped so I washed my hair every single day. TaylorAnne “pineapples” her long hair nightly. And I just learned how to put my hair into 2 little pineapple puffs, however I still am not consistent with this. I just refresh in the morning with a little conditioner and water in a spray bottle or reapply the product from the day before section by section through my hair. Hope this helps you. 🤓💕➰-LoriAnne
