I’m glad to see this review. I recently purchased this at Target and used it but I didn’t like that it didn’t give a shine to my hair like the Olive Oil one, which is usually my go to. I still use it because I like how soft the gel itself is and I like that my hair is soft after it’s dried. There is no hold. I also like that when I refresh with water the next day, I truly feel like I can actually feel the product reactivating. I’m going to use it up but I probably won’t repurchase this one. I used a leave in with it but I’m going to try it without a leave in next. Your hair turned out beautiful! TFS.

Hi Curls! Great Video!! You girls are just cranking them out :) Gel in general does not work well in my hair. I just used the Camille Rose Curl Maker to give things another go with gel only. It's about 70% dry and my hair (feels) like it's lacking moisture; but I'll see when it dries 100%. Both you and LoriAnne look great, though! Keep Shining!!

I love the Eco Gold, I got a great wash and go. You're right it would be a great summer travel product. I was thinking of taking the little travel sizes but now I can just take one product and a conditioner. I am about to try this. So I'm sensing then it's more of a good hold with moisture and sheen than, but it defines the curl texture you have but there's no emphasis on making the curl define stronger. Maybe? That's what I got out of your review. Thanks!

Taylor Anne you're not the only Eco virgin. I've never used any either. I've used AmPro (which I hate; hard hair), Softeé Argan Oil and Protein gels, Isoplus Pre-Conditioning gel, and now currently because they're cheap. Lusti Olive Oil Styling Gel and Argan Oil Curl Wave Twist Shaping Gel.

Hey MAD Curls! I used Eco Gold with the Aunt Jackie's you two convinced me to buy...LOL! Well, your vid did...LOL! The Curl Mane-tenance Defining Curl Whip isn't really a leave-in but I wasn't sure it would give my 4B hair enough hold. My results? Good but it didn't give me the shine I like to have. I did get lots of compliments on that wash n go tho. I try to stay away from glycerin in the spring/summer because my hair tends to poof...I got no poofing, good hold, just low on shine. Awesome video! Yes, I'd like to see your opinion on other Eco gels. I've tried several Eco gels and like the pink (curls, 8 hold) best. That said, over time I find that Eco dries my hair out, even though I use a leave-in and moisturizer under it. I've given most of my Eco gels away or thrown them away. I tend to like moisturizing gels like As I Am Curling Jelly...etc. 🙂👍🏽 👉🏽🐝🚫

My favorite gels from them are the Argan Oil and the Krystal, and I pair those with my Cantu Coconut Curling Cream. I wish you could see the wash and go I had today with the Krystal, so bomb!!! I just tried the Jamaican black castor oil one from Eco and OMG it’s TRASH! I tried it as a wash n go and it didn’t allow my hair last longer then a day. It had very little gold. I tried it to put my hair in a ponytail but that didn’t work much for hold neither. Left my hair dry and crunchy will little hold for my curls too. It’s weird cause I have type 4 hair and it seems like every 4 type girl loves that one. Me personally I hate it! Never will I buy that one

Tatiana Ragland Wow! Thank you for sharing your experience. There are so many ECO gels and they are all so different. I have the “yellow” one for light hair or highlighted hair.... it’s junk. It Left my hair like hay! The “professional” one is black and my scalp and hair look like a helmet. I turned that e over to my son. I love the Olive Oil gel, it’s the best in my opinion until I tried this one. I loved these results and when I woke up with no silk scarf or protection through the night I still had major curl definition and my hair was soft. I'm not an Eco girl for Wash n' goes. I don't really care about gel nor need it. However, when it comes to the Design Essentials Cream Gel, its everything because it's more a cream than a gel. My hair is soft and moisturized to no end paired with the daily moisturizer lotion within the same line. As for Eco, it's only ever in use for sleek buns and my edges. I feel like Eco leaves your hair stringy like ramen noodles, and dry, so that so not a look, lol. So buns are​ all it has a purpose for.

Tash Velez we have quite a few of the ECO gels. We have He professional/protein one which is black and makes my hair look like a helmet. We have the flaxseed gel, we have the Olive Oil gel, we have the coconut gel. We have never seen the pink gel for curls. Now I’m curious. We will try to find the pink one. If I use Eco, I need moisturizers and/or curl definers underneath. I like fatty alcohols better than just oil to moisturize. I use Eco simply for hold: to add days to my style. Eco is bomb for when I vacation; I style my wash and go once for the whole week. I agree that a lot of the shower scenes are unnecessary and attention seeking, but a lot of people, especially those with kinkier, coarser, and more porous textures, have to apply product to sopping wet hair or they get too much frizz and can't get more than 1 day of hair. But a shower scene in a bikini just to shampoo and condition? Definitely attention seeking.
