Excellent intro in great places in Penang. Getting the itch to make a trip up there after this segment. The Loh Mee and the Chang will be my main targets. Luckily food prices in Penang is still manageable. Unlike the unreasonable prices in KL.

Uncle Lee thank you for sharing us this video. 😊 Pitt Street Eel Fishball is really legendary food to eat 👍 the last time we went there was about 20years ago, most likely the 2nd generation of the family operates it. Really brings back our memories. 🥰 Best regards from us, Food Stories Adventure from Sarawak.

Actually those that I shown there are all my favorite food. I have episode 1 - breakfast/lunch episode 2 - dinner episode 3 - seafood episode 4 - more of 1,2,3 But my absolute favorites would be Ka Be cafe, Hai Beng coffee shop, Ayu mee udang, Ah Leng CKT, Jiashi, Lau Ee home kitchen, HYL seafood, Hai Boey (Teluk Kumbar see my earlier video on Penang), Hin Pin banana fritters (also on my earlier Penang video - some viewers here who tried says it’s the best goreng pisang in the world and I wouldn’t disagree).. thinking about it makes my drool 🤤! And the hawker stalls around Kimberly street is also super awesome - especially the oyster omelette - but be prepared for long wait!

Their signature dishes are their homemade tofu braised in eggplant n dried shrimp, bitter gourd in eggs, braised groupa fish with yam pieces & etc👍😋😋😋😋👍
Uncle Lee, I would like to know is the fish ball QQ or soft soft one ? As too many handmade fish balls in Penang are soft soft one that frighten me away. I do make fish balls at home, all are QQ one without adding any chemicals in them. If soft soft fish balls, means they are not good of making them.
@UncleLeeAdventures2 жыл бұрын
It’s not very QQ and definitely not soft soft type. I would say it’s in between… however, it’s the unique taste of eel that makes it different.. it does not taste like the usual fish balls made with fish. It’s just different.. give it a try and see if you like it or not.
