Uncle Si Is Fired Up About Phil's Haters & Puts the NYC Atheists on Strike | Ep 792

Phil Robertson

Phil Robertson

6 ай бұрын

It’s Phil and Si against the world, as Si jumps to defend Phil against those who judge Phil based on the past that he’s repented from. Phillip and Al crack up at a brotherly ribbing that Phil gives his little brother, and Si’s preaching supposedly puts the atheists on strike in the streets of NYC. Si backs down from a wrestling match with a young girl, and the guys further discuss the parable of the rich young ruler in Luke 18.
In this episode: Luke 18, verses 18-30; Hebrews 11, verse 6; Romans 10, verse 13

Amen! People always look at the negative! We all have pasts. I would like to see these negative people put their sins out for the world. You are a fantastic man, Phil Robertson! Kay is an Angel, and the entire family is a light in this fallen world! No one is perfect, not even us Christians. Only one is perfect, and his name is Jesus Christ! As a mama to 11, I need Christ every day! We all need Jesus and forgiveness daily, so stop attacking people❤️ Thank you for this podcast and continuing on the Blaze! Sending love from Wisconsin

I always get a kick out of Uncle Si, he's always funny, somewhat quirky. This podcast brought out something new for me. I really love the way so fervently defends his brother Phil. I love the way he brings forth the message of honoring and heralding the work of Jesus in Phil's life since he got saved. Our former life is a testament of the grace of God in allowing, and welcoming our conversion. But more profound to me is to see what God with a life that he has redeemed. The by product of that love and grace and salvation is so evident in the kingdom work he has done since. Thanks To you all for consistently pointing your viewers that have come to love you, to the Cross of Christ!

In Jerusalem, there is an Eye of the Needle Gate. The large green gate in the photo above that is located behind my friends, Roger and Linda, is a larger gate door that would be closed at night, but the little door that is open behind them is called the Eye of the Needle Gate. The eye of the needle mentioned in the book of Matthew was one of several gates that provided passage through the city of Jerusalem's massive walls. The Needle Gate was used when the city's main gates were closed at night and used for people entering the city "after hours." It was designed for security reasons so that enemies could not simply ride into the city on their camels and attack. The gate was so small that a man would have to unload his camel of all that it was carrying and then carefully lead his camel through this small gate. It was a slow and quite difficult task. You can see that it would be difficult for a camel to get through that door, but not impossible. I always think it's important to look at things in context, so here's that famous parable revisited and the event that led up to Jesus using that parable.

When I think about the rich young ruler it makes me remember Job. How God let the devil hurt him but Job never left God. This young man loved his wealth more than Jesus. Job was loyal and genuinely loved God and God blessed and rewarded him for that. Tells me God tests us to see how much we love him. That's my thought.

high flying coots, Years ago when I was still a working man, In my company service truck, HDR/W mechanic on dirt spreads. In CA, of all place, just a little north of Corona CA, two lane black top, of course today, not so, Something AM in the morning dark, 4:30 or so, going along at 60 there about, One of those coots got dead center on the wind-shield. fell from 20,000 feet, right ? It nearly came all the way through. So I guess the coots in CA fly along the ground, and where Si lives they fly at 20,000 feet. "-) I heard that about some of these geese are known to migrate at that altitude.

Si, don't get angry about people reacting to how bad Phil was. There are a lot of us who are taken aback by how bad he was because it gives us refreshed hope. When we are trapped in what appears to be hopeless and we see how awesome Phil is now, it feels too far removed from what we're dealing with. When we see how mean Phil was, it brings us to a new level of hopefulness, because if God turned him around, there's hope for all of us.

Dying to the flesh is a daily work. I am 72 years old and just retired to the mountains of California where my 49 year old daughter so full of anger rage hatred towards Jesus/God blames God for the death of my first born and like a snake full of venom striking at me on one hand crying and asking for help ($$) on the other.. My love for her is deep, yet while she is striking out so full of bitterness and rage at me, and my response is still yet still fleshy, emotional and not as Christ loves. I am listening to this podcast and crying hard, because I have made a covenant relationship with the Father back in 1982. I have been through abuse trauma growing up and healed of alot yet I find myself in a different battle. It's where the heart and core of me needs Jesus like never before. I need deeper healing myself and a greater change and can't do it on my own. For my daughter to receive Jesus and stop her rage against him and find him and fall in love with Him and His word, I feel I must been transparent real and not play Church or live with a fractured love, my daughter does need to see Christ in me like never before. So I put this out here asking the Holy Spirit to take over as I surrender what I can't do. And the body of Christ to remember my daughter, Darla, she is in a dark place and suicidal thoughts have been huanting her. She needs to realize God loves her, hell is real, forgiveness is needed. And she needs to see God is for her not against her. She feels He is when we lost my first born at the age of 20, in 1994, so please pray for her and me. I so want to truly be all what God as for me. He did it all at the cross. We will be hated for the gospel and Jesus was and is our example of love. Thank you for the one soul that took the time to read this and have the true heart to pray. God bless you all. ❤ 🙏 🕯 ✝️

Great show fellas as always. I heard this said may years ago and it seems to sum up a lot…. Christ had little to do with the religious/political structures of his day. The structures of his day found him to be a threat to their existence. The Jewish high court charged him with blasphemy and the Romans put him on the cross. Christ was a mystery to his own disciples and they walked with him anyway.

I agree with your heart in declaring what Yah, God has done in Phil and Kay’s lives after surrendering being a better focus, but the point of the movie was to show the salvation story of how and when that occurred. Perhaps a sequel would be appropriate. Personally, I don’t think Phil’s story of a man without Christ is all that uncommon. Especially in these times.
