I had 2 bikes stolen from me when I was a kid. Both of them from the bike rack by the arcade in town. That being said I got mad and and my friends and I started stealing bike from all over. We had so many bikes they just started to pile up. By the grace of God I got caught and got in trouble. By them catching stopped me from leading a life of sin and being a criminal. After that I never stole anything again. 🙏

Louisana Training Institute that was outside of Monroe gave many hundreds of young guys a good path to follow after getting sentenced for trouble with the law, back in the 1960's. No fences, house parents in each dormitory, compulsury church attendance on Sunday, and it had 3 different denominational churches on the grounds. Merit and demerit system. They had farm animals to tend and gardens to work because they ate what they grew.

My husband's uncle was a vet, and I never heard him so much as mention he was in the service. He was a good man. I can't imagine what going to war must be like.
