1. Tip I can give you that nobody really thinks about is waiting to see how they guard you first before establishing a pivot foot. You'll always get that quick first step. Alot of people don't do this. Like if they're already forcing you right you can use you're left foot to easily get in front of them but fast. Yk how people use they're off arm well you'll basically be using an off foot. 8:02 kinda like here except he established a pivot foot. Once you get that foot that's closer to him in front of him it's almost impossible for him to get back in play. The reason I say don't establish a pivot foot first is so you won't get chest bumped. Like at 8:16 when he got chest bumped.

Mad respect from what I was looking at I think your pivot foot should change when you play a left-handed player. It's just little detail he created space very well. I'm a right-handed player but I used to love going to my left side. I've seen him play in a pickup game and he was cooking very good player so you have nothing to be down about. Of course you could have won that game one-on-ones could go either way when both players are almost equipped with the same ability. So the only thing I saw was just the pivot in the beginning when the referee hands you the ball being that you're right-handed player you start off on a right-handed pivot side switching it up can confuse defenders if you're conscious of it.
@jayjohnson76462 жыл бұрын
Boyyyyy that's what I'm saying and skoob was too wide. I am also a right handed hooper myself and I know exactly what you mean. I have done what skoob did and learned from it. I started using a more even stance shoulder width apart but my right foot would be about a quarter step back. I wanted a left hand guy to go left. But I played with a lot of hand leverage. Also seeing what would be the second dribble move. Contest with my left hand on jumpers depending on angle. Or contest with a right hand in the face. What Shane battier used to do. You a hooper fam. I can tell. And seems to be a defensive guy first. Like myself. Jay smoove iq is high. Skoob was playing him too tight and was caught leaning on Jay as well. I saw Jay used the hesi half spin to get him off of him
