As someone with about 100 hours in the game battling against competent players is forcing me to get better sooner than if I was just dominating a fresh Install. You never truly know how bad you are at TF2 until a scout dominates you in about 3 minutes.

I've been considering playing tf2 for a bit now, and the jag n justice setup looks fun enough I might just have to get the game to try it. Any noob traps specific to this loadout I should know about?

U might have fun with the Eureka Effect wrench to. I reccomend using the gunslinger to get to 150 hp and build a secret exit teleporter behind the enemys spawn. After that go back to spawn to equip the Eureka Effect and just spawn kill the hell out of the enemy team.

You'll have some trouble with sustained damage even if you have stored crits available, simply because you're reloading so much. Know when to single-fire (fire, reload, fire) and when to dump all three rounds in a full tube. A pistol is probably the best all-round supporting choice if you have to pull your own weight because your team can't or won't support you or your setups. If your team is capable of reading a situation and supporting you effectively, though, feel free to indulge the Wrangler or Short Circuit for greater utility and battlefield effect.

I like that nickname - the "Jag 'N Justice". My biggest tips for this loadout is to always be moving your gun around, and don't be afraid to let it die in favor of keeping yourself alive to retain your revenge crits.

Well the games free these days so you probably should just get it. In terms of noob specific traps for this strategy, for the set up its just down to doing everything as fast as possible, with a bit of practise that should be easy. As for the rest of the match, it's usually very chaotic so the "noob trap" is a lack of awareness.

the scottish resistance is a really good payload sticky. you carpet the area a lot more with the increased sticky placement and can detonate a select group leaving the rest for when the other guys charge in thinking the stickies are gone.

I love how insanely convoluted the engineer meta is becoming. Set up with Eureka then switch to a proper loadout so you can teleport your sentry to the frontline and arrive with 200 metal and start off with a lvl 3 teleporter, good shit

I use it because i'm a very aggressive engineer, it doesn't matter to me if it takes a third swing to yeet that sapper outta my sentry, or if it heals slower, because at the end of the day, sentry's are meant to die, what matters is if your team is alive to cover you while it's down

the jag is kind of a middle ground between gunslinger and wrench, where you have the offensive potential of the gunslinger if you pre-build your level 1 before running to the point, the ability to fallback and get another sentry within seconds if they destroy it, and you have the option to bunker down and upgrade on-site (something like the KOTH point) to improve the defense. pre-building a level 1 gives you one spare sentry and 70 metal, so preferably find one or two metal packs after a while

load up a map first, i like using map itemtest, and then leave it, then your animations will work anywhere you go
