There is one huge, huge counter to the "RR on last" cheese that no one ever uses I've found. Its called the Cow Mangler charged shot. This applies the "Sapper" status to the sentry, so you can't heal it while its disabled by the cow mangler, allowing most to destroy it with some focus fire.

The rescue ranger is like the crusader's crossbow for the engie (with some fundamental differences). so what if you could yoink your teammates with the crusader's crossbow as medic? you know what that sounds like a neat idea but also a catalyst for trolling sadly.

You know, that could work to a lesser extent than the Rescue Ranger. Maybe you could yoink your teammates with a cost of 50% Ubercharge. This would give you a choice to either yoink one of your teammates to potentially save their life, or continue to build Uber so you can get a really powerful push. It would also counteract the whole trolling business at it would actually come with a pretty hefty cost.

Imagine that without warning you could be yoinked by your medic from across the map to safety, but you'd also be pretty disoriented as well. Regarding this, another idea came to mind: some kind of tether/grapple that can pull the *medic* to a teammate (at the cost of uber, which is a good idea, ty). it could be like the quick fix's blast jump mirroring but on overdrive. this puts control and concequence directly on the user, which would feel much more fair, and still allow you to quickly get into medigun range of a teammate in need

I do agree that suddenly being yoinked from across the map directly next to your teams Medic would be pretty disorienting and most likely a bit infuriating. On the plus side, the grapple mechanic would give Medic another option for mobility, as he's lacking in options when it comes to that. I feel like adding a Mannpower-esque grappling hook to the Crossbow at the cost of a percentage of Ubercharge, would be a great addition.

The rescue ranger is one of engy's most underestimated primary next to the pomson in terms of utility and damage. More than just sentry repairs and long ranged tanking or repairing a nest. Both can random crit and do significant damage to low to mid health enemies. Less to no bullet spread unlike the other shotguns. Imagine a huntsman arrow or rocket with less damage but higher faster shooting speed (on pomson just larger hitbox relatively speaking) Both are long ranged meaning you cover engy's distance downsides along with the wrangler on sentries One cannot be deflected the other can but people dont realize it same with the short circuit and dragon's fury projectiles. So for arguements sake both cannot be deflected well 😂 Its such a meme for tanking with a sentry but it can absolutely help a lot and syenergizes very very well with every other wrench and secondary 1. Pistols mid to long range combos chirp damage then finish them off 2.wrangler tanks then repair with the RR even mini sentries 3 short circuit makes you a great support. Wrenches Stock = good Southern hospitality = great for pyros which underestimate it Jag = counters repair downside Gunslinger= makes mini more tanky lol. Scouts snipers uncloaked spies and low health enemies get a surprise at a 1-20 health sentry back up to like 100 health Eureka effect = better for you now SAVE ON AMMO meaning instead of 25 repair for buildings and less ammo from sources outside of spawn you can now save on metal from repairs and save a teleport to spawn and back. The building snatches makes it really well to move up. Also saving from destruction. You can be a really big nuissance by just snatching a building and placing it right in front of a narrow passage to let allies close in to you or enemies now have to destroy a lvl 3 dispenser or sentry that slowly regens health in buildup phase. Really underutilized stopper. Especially spies LOATHE it. Maybe an enforcer can help but cmon. How many spies carry it at all times and will risk undisguising for a few pot shots. But probably the BEST is sentry jumping into sneaky spots. Oh yeah engy mains know where the b.s. spots for building are on.
