@NBSV13 жыл бұрын
Spacers don’t usually take anything special to install and normally wouldn’t take any special tuning. So, I’d just get a couple of different sizes and try them to see if it’s any better. The spacers generally increase plenum volume and runner length a little so should help with low-mid range power.

I had a 76 Chrysler Cordoba that looked similar to the Charger and it was a neat car because it had a 400 engine and power everything including power seats and the most amazing thing was the air condition still held a charge, this was around 1990. The only mod was it had those old slotted aluminum mags and they were already on the car when I got it.
@Phantom0fTheRouter3 жыл бұрын
I had 1977/8 triplets when I was in high school back in the early 80s... 77 Cordoba, 77 Charger, and 78 Magnum. The Cordoba benefitted from engine swaps as it's sisters did. Replaced the 318 in the Cordoba with the 360 from the Charger when it got a 426 from my cousin's wrecked 'Cuda, and later it got the 400 from the Magnum when I acquired an A12 440 from a friend who wrapped his dad's Road Runner around a tree. Got a Reckless Driving ticket in the Magnum for burning the tires for a quarter mile and jumping the flood wall/rail-road track bed (burn out did not stop til it was in the air), in front of the south end donut shop. Given what happened with the values of classics these days, I really wish I kept the destroyed chassis and titles of the donor cars.
@MrJohnnyDistortion3 жыл бұрын
I once owned 2 - 1979 Chrysler (Cordoba) 300's, both with the 360 lean burn system, spinnaker white, red/blue pin striping, true dual exhaust, red leather interior, X - 300 grill, 300 scribed port windows and a floor mounted button that changed radio stations.

It’s cool he is helping those guys out, but he should put some of that knowledge into actually getting one of his cars to make it down the track without shit falling off. The guy knows a whole lot about cars and racing, but somehow he can’t seem to build anything that backs up all that experience he has. Bottle rocket was supposed to be a 10sec 1/4 mile car but it’s been like two years and it’s still not even making full 1/8th mile hits. I’m all for the backyard budget builds, that’s why I watch the channel, but what good is showing people how to do it if the cars you build never run or make it down the track...
