It’s so nice seeing the beautiful fall colours again. It’s December 7th and we got a little snow. Not much and it will melt, but the leaves have definitely disappeared for this year. I get a kick out of how much you and your Mom enjoy what you’re doing, even though it’s hard work! Thanks for posting so soon after the other video. 🇨🇦😎🇨🇦

Hi Jen, I am from England. I may be trying to preach to the converted but I thought after looking at this vlog, that at the 27:10 mark for clearing a way to the culvert that was getting very little going through it, would a garden fork be of use for making a channel to the culvert? And when it comes to finding where the ends of the culverts are, once the water drops so that it could be done, would it be ok to use a splodge of yellow or as equally bright colored paint on the roadway, each side to identify where the ends of the culverts were, could this be something that you could use to help you and your mom? Anyway keep up the good work ladies, and Jeff, take care my friends.

Hi Jen and Kim. Sue from South Australia here. Today we are facing catastrophic weather conditions with temperatures up to 47 degrees centigrade in some parts of the state, and the threat of power outages. Watching you in the water I am very jealous. Seeing you cut the tree blockages with your saw made me wonder, are you allowed to cut back the damaged culverts to help the debris flow through easier. Just curious. ❤😊
@culvertsandmore Жыл бұрын
We probably can if we have the right tool.
@SusanMahony-yh9vs Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. You do realise that the name of the right tool is called Dad, don't you. Have a good week all. 10.30pm Sunday night here in South Australia and been raining all weekend but have had fires as well due to lightning strikes. It could only happen in Australia 🇦🇺.

Was the pink ribbon at the second set of culverts, to let others know that there are beavers there? I'm thinking trappers or streets crew with the damaged culverts.

As we see, everything you send into the water outlets, trunks and branches of trees, upstream, blocks the others downstream... Eternal beginning again...
@jessebrendel Жыл бұрын
Same stuff has been falling in and going down stream since the glaciers retreated 100,000 years ago. Yeah some might end up clogging something else downstream, that chances are they're the ones clearingthe next one. But some of it sinks, builds up in curves or flood plains creating fish habitat/nesting grounds. The DNR in Michigan actually drags logs into the river to build such habitats on purpose. The main objective they're achieving is preventing the road from washing out, which would release 100% of the same debris downstream in addition to the gravel the road was built out of. And they pick up and take with them a TON of trash that low class people throw out the window! Keep up the great work ladies, ignore all these nay sayers that love to complain about stuff going downstream......if they have that big of a problem with it then maybe they need to spend thier time,effort and money beating you gals to the clogs then they can deal with the debris how ever they see fit!
@shawnbarczak1766 Жыл бұрын
The type of bridge you gals showed around the 17 minute to 17:30 mark seems to be the type of bridge your community should install at many of these places to avoid the blockages you seem to encounter with the culverts...granted that could mean a decline in your content but...idk...you may still end up with something to take care of...
