Naming each waypoint created can be an advantage. I.E. Pond, Hazard, Hump, Bridge. Because one can also import the GE waypoints into the Garmin compatible Homeport PC program to create the GPX file for importing. Homeport will allow sorting by name which will let you "bulk edit" waypoint characteristics like waypoint icon symbol. Other PC programs allow this for Lowrance and Humminbird.
