Its a fallacy to believe that the very lovely, Janet Leigh became an "Icon" after "Psycho". Actually, she became an icon to most people who loved the movies and lived through the 1940's, 50's, 60's and 70's. Janet had these exquisite sharp features, lovely high cheekbones, large expressive eyes and a smile so sweet it could melt the cockles of your heart. She had a clear, honest face and was honest in all her dealings in life. If her 11-year marriage to Tony Curtis foundered, blame it squarely on Curtis and his philandering ways. Those close-ups of her in blonde wig in "Scaramouche" knocked fans off their feet. Not only was she tops in dramatic roles, but equally adept in comedies, historicals and showed crazy fans what she could do with her terpsichorean abilities.. It's a pity that neither of her daughters took after her in the looks department nor acting prowess, though Jamie Lee did prove okay in her craft. The trajectory of Janet's career had a sea of followers, who were blinded by her charismatic charm. Top movies of Janet, not to be missed include: Little Women, Scaramouche, The Vikings, Bye, bye birdie, Two tickets to Broadway, One is a lonely number and yes, the ubiquitous "Psycho". Her filmography is endless, and the ones aforementioned have been provided randomly. Janet Leigh was a "peach" and loved even today, the world over.

Her measurements were fenomenal. By the time she did ‘Psycho’, she was a recent mother of two and still looked like a goddess. No wonder they had to cast Scarlett Johansson to play Janet Leigh on the movie ‘Hitchcock’.

@@GeorgeCostanzais10. Yes, George, Janet was a real goddess of the silver screen. On the strength of her name, people flocked to see her films. She was truly angelic in looks. We were recently seeing "Houdini" with an old couple in their 80's and the old lady remarked, "I have a Barbie doll in my show case, but this actress is any day better looking". She as truly a gem in the Hollywood Royalty brigade.
