An engineer should be able to predict the behavior prior to running the computer analysis. The computer analysis should be used to reinforce the engineer's prediction. If the computer analysis doesn't match the prediction then the engineer must determine why- maybe the prediction was wrong, maybe the analysis was wrong. Never assume that the analysis is right without studying it.
