It's scary to see it come back again -- not just for us, but also for all the kids that were traumatised having to see that when they were little. Not even the internet. Internet wasn't so massive in the 2000's there was just one or two sites and not so many people used them. @mysryuza Жыл бұрын
I never understood that. I understand Fnaf and Poppy being gorey because the games pretty much heavily imply dark themes. Even the phone guy in fnaf mentions being stuffed into a suit with eyes out of the sockets. To think that they’re child friendly is a major fallacy and a misread on the franchises as a whole. Disney and other franchises intentionally made for little kids, the ElsaGate thing actually has weight to why it’s a problem.
@Grigeral Жыл бұрын
I mean, they aren't 'gore'. They are horror for children (well, poppy's playtime at least). It uses jump scares and character designs etc which might be scary for kids below 13, but I don't recall any actual gore. But even then, I wouldn't freak out if my kid see's something with a little bit of blood on it. But the stuff they show on videos like this goes well beyond, it goes into full on fetish territory which has no right belonging on a kids application.

My immigrate mother after teaching me English for a few years decided to let me go on KZbin. The most horrifying thing is, the pokemon kid from reddit who mentioned that it “gave him fucked up kinks” is not the first to have this happen. This is the most evident, and alarming product of early on exposure. As an adult who grew up looking for my favorite characters on DeviantArt in 2009, I most certainly suffer the same side effects (noticeably appearing by the time i turned 11). It’s horrific. Something I've also noticed is many of these newer Elsagate comments are created by more international content creators, particularly from India/surronding Asian countries and speaking in Hindi. However they also use English text to appeal to the western side of the algorithm. These videos I've seen have many classic traits of elsagate; smoking/drinking, references to sexual activity and one had a giant syringe being shoved in a character. However, I feel like this language/country barrier makes it harder for KZbin to do anything.

Pregnancy, Sex, blood, needles, butts. all stuff we were told were not good in live action stuff. but they were just there, on youtube, with elsa and spiderman and in bright colours. there was also minimal speaking in the videos, which meant me and my cousins, all three of us ranging from 4-8 years old, could watch the videos together. can't say it didn't mess me up at least a little. I hope you realize how truly powerful that beginning message you say means! I love that your open your videos with so much positive energy! I hope you the same in return

love the video AND your shirt! elsa gate has always been such an interesting topic to me because I remember watching those videos all the way back when I was a child who didn't understand the internet yet.

Seeing a jab at Alpha And Omega was a surprise as someone who loves that franchise but never sees anyone mention it-

I believe i might have been a victim of elsagate. Back around 2016 i was 8 just watching dantdm and popularmmos when i started to come across these strange cartoons with weird stomach and bodily fluids stuff. Now that im a bit older i have started to notice i have an unhealthy fixation/kink for some of those things. Its disgusting and nobody should have to go through this

I grew up on elsagate, my parents didnt protect me well enough from the internet but it hasnt really effected me personally. just gave me some little bits of trauma

Same bro, grew up on MLP creepypastas, horror stuff, and a bunch of Elsagate. I honestly grew to be interested in the dark and macabre, but I just cringe at all the Elsagate stuff.

@@UnderworldPrincesslol i watched SOME elsa gate and i loved creepypastas, the only elsagate shit i saw were those weird minecraft ones, and i thought they were weird and not really entertaining.

Thank you so much for bringing this up and drawing attention to it.. I monitor my son's KZbin kids to make sure I can keep it blocked, but you never know when it will creep back up.

watching this made me realize I may have been affected by similar style videos when I was younger. and boy did they leave an embarrassing impression on me.

I consider myself fortunate that I was too deeply invested in Vocaloid to even realize Elsagate was a thing. That said, I got drawn to lots of Dark Vocaloid Songs, but those were at least somewhat artistic, instead of just being traumatizing....probably.

it's not the fact that this shit exists in the first place that is the most disturbing to me, it's that these people spend actual time and effort making it. people straight up do this for a living. they wake up and think "ah yes, time to make a new poppy playtime piss kink animation. the children are gonna love this one. oh hell yeah, my FNAF vore fetish video just hit 100,000 views! i hope the '2 girls 1 cup but IN MINECRAFT???' video i made yesterday does that well" like, obviously there's not a ton of effort that goes into these animations they're pumping out, but like, actual time and thought gets spent on what type of video they'll make, what characters, what weird ass fetish they'll put in the video, whether the red and green among us crewmates should be doing doggy style or reverse cowgirl in the security room. grown ass everyday people that we actually share the world with that have their own lives and families and shit. the videos and concept as a whole are unnerving and concerning, yeah, but every time i remember that an actual person took time out of their day to think of the concept and then go through the effort to actually make the video and post it, all while thinking "how can i make it so as many kids as possible will want to watch this",, that really fucks with my head

You have to understand (which is hard I also took awhile to understand it too) that these people have a different motive which is worse than money, they get sick sadist pleasure and empowerment from exposing children to their kinks/fetishes, which is why many victims suffer from those same fetishes/kinks as they grow up. Those freaks LOVE traumatising kids and getting them into awful fetishes/kinks

My niece used to watch this stuff. I never knew that it was this weird. It just looked like normal kid friendly stuff. Now I know what it's like when we aren't looking.

i used to watch these videos with my dad, especially the play doh ones. we stopped watching them together because he noticed there was something wrong and didn’t want me seeing stuff like that at an age like 5 or 6. sad because i used to wake up early and wait for my dad so we could sit and watch videos together.

2017 just seemed to be the year of asinine trends and internet content that I wish wouldn't return. Elsagate ranks pretty highly on that list.
