Keep the Kiosk PS3 that came included in its stock form!! There's lots of rips of the kiosk firmware online but they're useless if you don't have a converter firmware to actually install it with. This poses a bunch of other problems that includes soft modding/hardmodding your console and overall it's just not worth it. So seeing a PS3 Kiosk Console that has the original firmware is rare. That Kiosk PS3 console is valuable in its own way, keep it the way you found it!! There's lots of old gameplay videos and demo's that are super cool to look into. Great find!!

You can get a couple of much quieter fans to put inside that would help with airflow. I would recommend either noctua fans or arctic bionix fans. You'll need to make a power supply for them but that's super easy to do with like an old android charger.

Backwards compatible ps3 helps chew into the cost. Probably early ps3 firmware not compatible with dualshock causing constant vibration.

That kiosk is so damn cool!!!! Sweet that the secret on the inside is in working condition and that you were able to get a key. So friggin’ awesome that you got the tv working too. PS3 is an amazing machine and that kiosk is once in a lifetime!

Great find dude!!! And you maybe able to buff out those scratches on the tv screen with some rubbing compound or toothpaste sometimes will do the trick...🙂

Oh boy that thing is nice. I scored one locally in OK for $80 but it was missing the play beyond display beyond the console and the other long display artwork on the side piece.

Coolest part to me is the sign on the right side showed the ps button lit up, which never was a retail thing, so it had to be a very early kiosk. The original sixaxis controllers from release had a led spot on the PCB but no led or power to the solder points. I believe the only example are the early tool/dev kit controllers which can be found with illuminated ps buttons. Awesome find always wanted a PS3 kiosk!

Patience and hard work pays off! I remember also when I found PS3 at the flea market. It was loud and it needed cleaning. After opening and cleaning dust is was in nice condition. This is one of those moments when you find something special and you are not sure whether you are dreaming or awake.

That would possibly be a backward compatible PS3 that came with the kiosk, I would try to get that one back to a good working condition. Before updating the firmware or such I would check out if there is anything specific to the version that is currently installed on it.

I like that Sony TV that came with the Kiosk, but if u ever decide to swap that out with another Sony TV, please oh please get that 24' Playstation 3D Monitor. I got one not too long ago and it and its picture are AMAZING!!!! Plus I think the look will go well with that Kiosk. Good find man! I'm Jelly! lol

I purchased 2 "broken" xbox 360s from a pawn shop last year. They both worked just fine. Just needed harddrives. Great find!

The same thing happened to me with a PS4 1100 series. Listed as having a loose HDMI. Paid $40 as part of a black Friday deal. Brought it home and it worked perfectly fine. I guess their HDMI cord was bad

Congrats I just got the same kiosk but the slim model... mine was missing a good bit but only paid 200 delivered to me lol they make 3 models of this version ps2 ps3 fat and ps3 slim. The fat is by far the best!!!! I'm going to mount my 3D Pstv to mine. It was complete too wow! Great buy im jealous I need to get mine going asap lol

Hey if you want to replace the fan in the ps3 kiosk. change it for a Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM. By the looks of things it should be only be a few screws and then replacing the fan on the inside
