I sincerely appreciate your content dr Kong. I’ve learned so much from you as I’ve gone through my own research process on regenerative therapies. I’m 34 and desperately motivated to find a way to maximize everything I can out of my lungs after two lobectomies and a severe case of bronchiectasis. You’ve given me hope in some of my most challenging moments and a belief that there is more to my future than helplessly bearing witness to my own slow demise. Thank u for your thoroughness in research, your standard of quality and your grounded delivery. I wish I could come down to Your clinic.

Dear Matt, I cannot tell you how much your kind comments mean to me, and how much your words inspire me to continue to push forward despite the difficult atmosphere we work under - from the lack of understanding of cell therapy from the FDA, to the fierce opposition by big pharma, from within-industry competition and jealousy, to lack of knowledge and misunderstandings by the public… I will continue to fight the good fight, for people that desperately need help like yourself…❤️

I watched a video from Dr. Anil Rajani regarding exosomes. He said exosomes have mRNA and DNA from the donor in them and we are receiving those markers into our bodies withinfusions/injections. I'm curious about your knowledge on research regarding this topic. I have seen wonderful results from use of both. TYIA

I’ve just started researching stem cell therapy and find myself reading about clinics in Panama, Costa Rica and now your Uplyft Longevity Centre in LA. Thank you for your clear, concise and graspable videos and talks which have an air of integrity and authenticity. I know you have experience of treating dementia and wondered if you can give a little more detail on treating early dementia. You mentioned in another video, that you can repair downstream damages due to genetic change, would this be applicable to people in their 80’s? I'm based in the UK and not certain if your level of excellence is available nearer to home. Many thanks for reading my question.

Thank you for your kind words. As to stem cells obtained from either uterine lining or menstrual blood, they can be very helpful, but will be very similar to other source of autologous stem cells. Dr. I was chocked by your detailed explanation of the real source of Stem Cells. I HAVE THEREFORE A QUESTION, or a suggestion: If the scientific world has the ability to use the applicable cords taken during child delivery, then why THERE WILL BE MASSIVE EDUCATION TO THE MOTHERS TO BE to donate the cords instead of letting the delivery room throw them in the trash !! wont that education heal some serious diseases in older individuals and benefit mankind?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD Жыл бұрын
Yes, education should be provided in every hospital and birthing clinic! Fortunately, right now, there are enough umbilical cord to go around to conduct treatments, but if stem cell therapy is to reach the scale it should (I.e. becoming a commonplace therapy that everyone should undergo to help with various conditions, speed up surgical recovery, boost immune system, slow down aging etc, then we will need A LOT more cords…:)

@JoyKongMD

Yes stem cell therapy has been shown to be quite beneficial in connective tissue tears, as long as the tear is not too extensive which might require surgical intervention. You can certainly use your own bone marrow or fat derived stem cells, esp since you are young. I listened to many other podcasts with you describing this, you recommended this one to me to understand how you know the donors exercise and eat healthy. Which I still don't know how you know that, I guess other than the absence of disease. Also my question, regarding mothers being unable to sell their placenta, therefore must "donate" the. Since you said tissue cannot be sold. So do you get it for free? I wonder about why there are so many c-sections nowadays.... also vaginal births from what I've learned from other doctors, are excellent for the babies healthy micro biome as he passes through the birth canal. I do think you are kind and thoughtful and an excellent doctor, I am just trying to understand all of this. I've listened extensively to Dr Adeel Kahn ( actually learned about you from a pod cast with him ). So I'm comparing your methods and reasoning with his. You make good points. And so does he. 🙏🏼.

Thank you Audrey for your questions and comments. Potential donor mothers are asked to follow a diet, exercise and vitamin regimen, monitors by their ob/gyn. Mother cannot sell their tissue, but laboratories that process these tissues have a lot of cost that go into it related to renting of space, expensive equipment, hiring of scientist, technicians and compliance officers, etc., and they can indeed charge for the products made from the donated tissue...
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 4 ай бұрын
I agree with you about vaginal birth and it is much healthier for the baby. Unfortunately, a significant number of women do not want to go through the painful (and often long) process of vaginal birth, and many obstetricians prefer the convenience of C section and often women are encouraged to do C section... these are some of the main reasons.

Dr Joy - i am asking on behalf of my wife. Have you had any experience treating Vitiligo and Lichen Planus with stem cell therapy at your clinic? Thank you!
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD Жыл бұрын
Hi Asher, I have treated one lichen planus patient so far with some mild improvement, but it may still be too early to conclude how much we can improve her symptoms… I have not yet treated vitiligo, but looking at published research, one article said “MSC therapy also has been shown to stimulate the mobilization of healthy melanocytes, leading to successful repigmentation of skin lesions in vitiligo patients.” So I think it is worth a try. Hope this is helpful.

Hi Dr. Kong, can stem cells repair a hip labral tear? Do you perform this treatment? Also, do you use PRP in your practice with stem cells? If not, why so?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question Darian. I have performed stem cell treatments for hip osteoarthritis. For labral tear, it depends on the extent of the tear, and if it’s too extensive it may require surgery. That said, stem cell therapy can still help one to recover from surgery much faster and much more completely. You can watch my next video to see a doctor explain her experience… it should be published tomorrow. As to PRP, I ALWAYS use it along with stem cells for local injections.

@@JoyKongMD I see, why do you think most stem cells clinics in the US continue to use BMAC/adipose cells instead of something like your UC product which you believe it more effective according to studies?

@@JoyKongMD Also, I'm not sure if you've touched on this before but how exactly is sc therapy helping patients who have bone-on-bone arthritis feel better? Is it simply reducing the inflammation in the joint or are tissues like cartilage, torn ligaments/tendons actually be regenerated or a combination of both?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD Жыл бұрын
@@darian5428 like anything, when there’s a tradition in medicine, doctors find it difficult to switch gear, especially since they have seen some good results from what they were doing. However, my obligation is to get patients the very best results, and if it’s 10-30% more than what bone marrow or adipose derived cells can achieve, I feel obligated to do so. Another factor is the fact that doctors had to pay a large amount of investment (about $100K for the bone marrow setup for example) to purchase equipment and pay for training, and once those investments are recouped, new treatments they provide are pure profit. So it is very difficult for doctors to want to buy umbilical cord Stem Cells, which do cost money, when they can do it at nearly zero cost. One has to realize that economics do factor in.
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD Жыл бұрын
@@darian5428 The so called bone-on-bone is rarely “zero” cartilage left in the joint, usually there’s some amount of cartilage left. Within those cartilage, stem cells can stimulate regeneration, and I have seen cartilage regrowth on MRI imaging. Ligament, tendon and muscle can all repair after stem cell therapy - there’s plenty of evidence for that.

There is plant stem cell therapy that does complete body work without side effects or complications. We in Africa have no access to human based stem cell therapies ; the plant stem cell therapy is available and is able to take care of 200 challenging health conditions. We have so many testimonies. If you are interested get in touch. A trial will convince you. I, myself used it for a serious case of Ovarian cyst and edemetrosis which had caused so much pains for years. I got results within weeks and after three months, no signs of the conditions anymore. So, this is a good option for you.

Plant stem cells would be great to help plants grow. It does not make scientific sense to use that for humans when we have perfectly good human stem cells.

thanks for video... doesnt the umbilical cord blood have to be at least 60% HLA matched?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD Жыл бұрын
They do not. Birth tissue derived stem cells have little chance to cause rejection due to the lack of HLA markers (more complex than that but I’m simplifying it here), but pure cord blood product have some chance of causing side effects due to mismatch which is why studies often pre-medicate patients to prevent rejection. The product we use at our clinic has a large proportion of MSCs, which have been used in conjunction with organ transplantation to prevent rejections. This is another reason that a comprehensive stem cell profile is very advantageous.
