Hi, in their IMM 0706 form, they are asking for several things and would be good if you could explain how deep they go? 1. Phone numbers: Do they check the ph# ownership? do they check calls/text/location history while phone numbers are operated abroad? 2. Messengers like Facebook, whatsapp, viber: Do they check all the chat and call history and images/vdeo texts? Isn't that breach of privacy or personal stuffs? 3. Do they identify if posts are removed from Facebook etc? or if these accounts are made deactive/deleted during this time? Or are they able to access posts that are not public? 4. Do they share information with the US's FBI or any other country's security agencies?

IMHO, it is ludicrous for a background check to take six plus months to be completed in this day and age. This is the only issue holding up our family sponsorship application and PR acceptance. Ridiculous, and there appears to be no accountability at the IRCC and their communication channels are non-existent it seems. Filed an ATIP request to the CBSA recently to see if I can determine why this is taking so long. Not a happy camper here considering its two years since we applied FFS.

For the nationals that are usually go through more comprehensive security screening, would you recommend getting most recent police certificate for the application? Or older ones are fine as long as they follow the guideline.

hello, I am from china applying study permit for my computer master program in BC canada, it is stucked for a year now , from the IRCC status checking ,it is stuck in information sharing stage. I worked in a foregin company for over 5 years now ,and before also in another foregin tech company about four years. but I was in military for civil service as teaching assistant 20 years ago from 2001 to 2004 , now I submitted the application for leave mandamus in stage 2 to submit evidences , but I am not sure what legal statement to be referred in my arguments , any suggestion for this ?

This delays wont effect applicants those who are from india and Philippines as per my research ..im quite sure im not wrong 🎉
