We traveled to Wilmington, North Carolina to help search for missing person Barry Aiken, last seen in 1993, we searched the Cape Fear River previously and located several vehicles but today are investigating a mystery car located in nearby Rice Creek which we recovered with a heavy duty Tow Truck.

Aiken was last seen in the 2000 block of Wrightsville Avenue in Wilmington, North Carolina on February 24, 1993. He left his wallet, identification and money behind at the home he shared with his father and has never been heard from again. Prior to his disappearance, he had tried to leave town and travel to Atlanta, Georgia, but he was talked out of going. Few details are available in his case.

You guys should look at relocating the gas tank to under the bow. Main reason is it will transfer weight off the stern because it is sitting quite low back there. A bonus would be more room back there. And awesome tow guys!

Your experience and ability to recognize a car on sonar is amazing. When i look at things on my fishing sonar, its hard to tell what youre seeing. There was an old schoolbus sank in Bull Shoals, and without a hotspot map telling me what it was, I would never be able to tell it was a bus. And a bus should be much more recognizable than a 30 yr old car. BTW, thats one heck of a towing rig! Beautiful truck and single rear acle making it more nimble.

If it hasn't been reported stolen , then it would obviously not be insurance fraud . you need to have a police report to file an insurance claim like that for a missing vehicle.

There are areas all over this place that leads to water. I live in Pender county but grew up in New Hanover and there is trails that lead to the rivers everywhere good luck hope you find that young man.

Great job, guys! As a native of this area, PLEASE *do not* go into these rivers, swamps, etc from end of March through October! Alligators and snakes. Moccasins, rattlers, copper heads, name it, they're here. even coral snakes, though they are a little more rare. Love both of y'all. Will definitely call Thomas Towing if the need arises. Beautiful trucks, operators were knowledgeable, appearances were professional. Great impression!

Thanks for coming here!!! There are many many more that need your skills and help!!! Bit of advice from a Carolinian . Just because that car is possibly stolen does not mean there’s not a body in it. You may want to clear these cars while they’re underwater because these rough heads around here especially up near Raleigh Durham, Chapel Hill, Charleston, and some of the major cities, they will steal a car to dispose of a body, so just be prepared that even if it’s a stolen car, there may be a body in it. I would hate for you to be relaxed gravy, stolen car and then all the sudden gets shellshocked because there’s a body in it. They do around here all the time, but I really hope you guys come back because you guys are the only ones that I know of there may have been all those but the only ones I know of that have come out here, and we literally have thousands of miles of waterways that are full of stolen cars, suicides, etc. there are hundreds of families in North Carolina that are missing family members that really need that answer so that they can try to get some semblance of their life back. So thank you from someone right here less than 45 minutes on my Harley from where you just pulled this car, probably closer to half an hour depending on how fast I ride. Would love to come out and help you guys in anyway I could even if that means just bringing you guys a hot meal and some cold drinks offering your really pretty place to camp in front of a bonfire with a few adult beverages to decompress in privacy. I can even go out on the water with you!!! Been on the water. All my life can read live scan and sonar and drive a boat so if you ever back out in this neck woods, and you need an extra set of hands from someone who has a level of maturity and a level that can cook! Shoot me an email. I’m pretty sure you can figure out what my email address is you guys are super smart! Again, thank you guys for coming to the Carolinas and I really truly hope you come back to the Carolinas because we really could use your skills!
