UNCSA live: Sean Darney and Elizabeth Russell perform Suggs - Postlude.

Bassist Sean Darney has appeared at Carnegie Hall as part of the Honors Performance Series, and the ASTA all-state festival. His teachers include Robert Anderson of the North Carolina Symphony and Prof. Paul Sharpe at UNCSA, where he is the assistant principal bass in the conservatory’s Symphony. He is currently a high school senior.
Elizabeth Russell has attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts for the past four years. She has majored in both Ballet and Contemporary dance; her performance credits include UNCSA’s Nutcracker the Joffrey Ballet’s Jazz and Contemporary program in New York City (2021), and The Juilliard School’s Summer Intensive (2022).
Composer Sam Suggs is on faculty at the James Madison University, the Heifetz Institute, Sewanee Summer Music Festival, Peabody Bass Works, and the Juilliard Summer Strings Program in Shanghai.
