At exactly 2:12:20, you can see dream fires the final bow shot that kills the dragon, but due to the bug the death isn't a proper death and is instead an instant respawn. Technically, Dream DID kill the dragon, with that bowshot. But the bug meant the death didn't involve any animation/advancement.
