No English flags were allowed to upstage the event, and of course the flag itself has been pushed by the media as highly negative itself anyway. It's all too easy to condition the public. The stereotypical item of choice to hold for the drunken lout you speak of. Don't read too much into the media, they will twist anything for a good article. Ten people pushing for the police blocking the working to middle class crowds with their own large flags is apparently chaos. I've seen worse at a music festival

as a proud member of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association (R.C.A.F.A) it does me good to see the various branches of cadets taking part in these kind of events. most towns do not "do" events like that here as the various service associations are closing down fast, lack of interest from "newer" veterans, the disappearing of ww2 and Korean war veterans and people being against anything to do with the military, and often considering money spend on the military as a "waste".

Yes apparently the army cadets have 41,000 13 to 18 year old in 1,600 locations around the UK I don't know figures for the sea cadets and airforce cadets at least there are young people growing up learning valuable lesson about life and responsibility. They must have good parents otherwise they'd be confused about their gender and full on entitled. There is a glimmer of hope still

Great to see our young cadets of all services out and looking proud. Especially the young Fusiliers with which I served. Hopefully With Reform in government next year we can see some regular units taking part.
