@@user-sx4qu4dz9z Not really. It's never been truthfully explained but it works like a super power of it's own accord much like his heat vision and such. If it was based on his muscle strength alone he would be destroying the ground he was on with every step he ran at super speed. His speed is more precise then that as he can also do "flash like things" like vibrate himself through stuff etc. I'd say his physical strength and durability allows him to survive moving at such speeds though.

The reason they say it's impossible is because superman is impenetrable and they'd have to nerf his super strength si he doesn't kill bad guys and as for the flash, running into a living person at such speed will kill the person(e.g the boys). So they'd have to consider a lot because the full power of the flash and superman is too much to be in a game

But they stopped because they had to make it logical and realistic which brings a lot of things into consideration. Making good graphics and amazing looking details isn't the problem, it's wjat to do with his powers in game

I like the idea of Superman having to save as many people as possible and people dying on his watch affecting public image or something. The real reason it would be tricky is because most people want the freedom to be Superman and would want to cause havok. I think the public image ranking would come in handy here again. Maybe you should have the freedom to decide to go rogue.

He is one hell of a combatant in the comics, but depending on the player Arkham Batman can fight thousands of hours without getting tired while kicking entire armies around. @@leunxm7644 the thing is though the characters arent op because all you have to do is use a villain at an equal or greater power level. example superman. main villain lex luthor or zod. main enemy forces can be prisoners from the phantom zone prison.DONE. next flash. main villain reverse flash/professor zoom. main enemy forces goons in large quantities from different rogue gallery gangs that share charateristics of there leader Example captain cold goons can use ice based weaponry to slow you down. you could also have a cool idea that RF has given prisoners velocity and they now have super speed. i have come up with those ideas literally on the spot. DC have no excuse for not making either or both of these games.

That is the basis of a good start to a Superman game. We know that magic, aliens and kryptonite Empower humans can hurt the man of steel. But having decisions to make that impact story can make it fun. Example: terrorist organization set explosives on the structural support of a suspension bridge and the structural integrity of a tower. You have to choose one to save.

I think that, besides destruction detail, the main thing about any powered character that scares devs off is progression. Famous characters like Green Lantern, The Flash and Superman basically tap into near-unlimited sources of power, so how do you ground/limit them and give players a sense of accomplishment and difficulty that can't be totally explained away by upgrades? I think devs just don't want to be limited to origin stories to make it look like the hero is developing powers and meeting villains for the first time when you have Batman and Spider-Man games with them in their prime confronting a whole Rogues Gallery. The necessary destruction detail for such powerful characters will be achieved, I think, by the end of this generation.
