Toxapex was an absolute beast in sun&moon. You can get an item like Leftovers (heals HP per turn). Already bulky, add Recover, Liquidation, and a variety of poison moves. Plus Merciless ability which makes attacks crit hits on poisoned targets 👑

Not really. Content creators don't have the algorithm on their accounts. Plus they don't lose ELO on negative sets. Their ELO only goes up on positive. This is why they effortlessly hit legend EVERY season.

I use to think it was a joke but I gotta say that algorithm is no joke at all. I mean I tried multiple legend teams I see on here and man I get hard walled like crazy. The only league that’s ok is master. Assuming because of lack of choice or people not wanting to pay for raids.

This is probably a stupid question but I don’t get what you meant by Hexing it down with Jellicnet when your moves are Shadow ball and Surf?. I always hear people mentioning a Pokémon using a quick move when they have the 2 other moves. Can someone please explain this to me?. Cheers.

GBL has destroyed my self esteem. I see these battles and I see how the championships are designed and I see a community that views only Legenda as worthy of support and playing and I feel worthless. GBL used to be fun but with ELO and all the regionals it has become too competitive and as a competitive person I feel like an all time failure because I cannot even reach Expert. I feel like there is no place in the GBL community for a less skilled battler like myself and I know others who also feel this way. Every day my ELO falls is Niantic’s way of humiliating me by spotlighting how sorry I am at this

If something makes you feel bad either stop doing that thing, or put in the work to not make you feel bad about it anymore. There's countless high level content creators showcasing teams and gameplay, you have all the resources needed to learn right at your finger tips. Niantic isn't trying to humiliate you, you're just providing excuses for why you aren't meeting your goals.

I don’t agree the community has no place for less skilled players, I am sure you just haven’t found the right one. Keep it up, and sometimes don’t stress too much. I personally perform better when I don’t care about ELO and just focus in the current match up, if there is a potential win con, go for it; if there is none, this is normal as well because there is always a bit of RNG. Just try to focus on the match, not your ELO or ranking.
