Nice work! I give you a lot of credit for doing this all yourself. This is what I'm looking for except for the cover to be waterproof. I'll have to look around for one I guess. It would be been nice to see it open and close in the video. Did you really need the clips to attached the shade cloth to the wire? Since the shade cloth already has those grommet holes I would think you could just slide the wire through those and it wouldn't hand as low. Did you try that?

What are you using to open and close the retractable canopy? Do you have a pole or are you just using your hands?
